This article is “one of a kind” article. There is no article written on the subject matter of “producing different version of the same article”. Although I believe it is a very common practice and many people republish their articles after some modification, but still not much has been written on this topic. I think there is a dire need for freelance writers to share there techniques of rewriting there articles so that new writers can adopt them instead of buying expensive software to rewrite there articles.
There is a belief that prevails among many freelance writers that duplicate content is banned by search engines and thus one should not republish their articles, I disagree. I have come across a number of articles that have been published at more than one famous article directories (like Bukisa, Triond and Mahalo) and these articles have received numerous comments at all places. Once I came across an article about “losing weight by taking the stairs”, which was lucky enough to be featured at the front page on both Mahalo and Bukisa. I also read an article about Redgage at Bukisa, (which was very well written). After some days, I read a similar article (almost but not completely same) written by the same author at Triond. For all those active writers, the practice of republishing an article after some modification is common. And all the active readers might certainly agree with me.
Methods
- Using many pictures. Your parent article is dull, boring and full of verbose knowledge. Give it some life. Search for images in Google Images and add many pictures to the daughter article. The new look will surprise you and your readers.
- Chang the title but makesure the new title is keyword precise. Yes this is true. The Title is every thing. You can find more about keywords from the Google Adwords Keyword Tool. Following are the number of Titles that are used by me for the same article you are reading right now.

- Article spinning. No no no, I am not selling anything. DO NOT buy those expensive soft wares that claim to spin your articles so that you can rewrite them to save time. Use online article spinners which are 100% free. For example,

- Changing the first paragraph. Once again make sure it is concentrated with the keywords, you can find the related keywords by using the Adwords keyword tool
- Submitting an article in different parts at one place when it is already submitted as one whole in another article directory. For example three of my articles are submitted at Mylot i.e.

· Making Money Online With Mylot, A Review (Part 2)
· Making Money Online With Mylot, A Review (Part 3)
I resubmitted these three parts as one whole at Helium.
- Paragraphs or Headings: Many people prefer to write articles in paragraphs, some people (like me) organize their articles under many headings. You can do both. Use different paragraphs for one article directory. When you rewrite your article stick to the Headings Format and submit the daughter article to a different article directory.
- Bullets or Numbering: This may sound ordinary but it sure does changes the very look of the article. Use bullets for one of your daughter article and use numbering for the other daughter article.
- Create a lens out of it. You might have heard of Squiddo and Squiddo lenses, just to add to your information Squiddo is an article directory where you have to build a page (called lens) and this lens has so many modules(parts) that it certainly gives a new look to your article. You just have to take your article there and add these modules. Some of the modules are given below

· a guestbook
· Amazon,
· Lulu,
· Cafepress,
· BBC news,
· Wikipedia.
· Flickr voting,
· Polls Module and so much more.
- Cut copy paste: If your parent article is very long you can just cut some parts of it, (some tailor trimming work) and delete the unnecessary parts, the new daughter article might be smaller and redy to be published.
- Add more information: update your article by giving present day information and relevant examples. Sometimes your articles contain obsolete information, you can add some new sentences and republish your article.
