These are, in my opinion the best TV series I have watched.
Now I have never been a TV person but as of late I have dug my nose into some TV shows and have found them absolutely engrossing and addictive. I’m not going to go into a lot of detail but I recommend anybody who hasn’t watched any of these to give them a golden opportunity. I hope you enjoy this short list.
4) El Barco RATING: 8,5
Ok, I know what you’re thinking… what the HELL is this? This my friends is your ticket to learning spanish as well as enjoying an amazing series, with an awesome plot that will leave you hanging at every turn.
Synopsis:
It all starts with a trip to the training ship “Polar Star”. Forty-two crew and two months left to meet, fall in love and do things for the first time. However, everything changes when trying to return home. The world isn´t there anymore. They will never reach port nor see their family and friends again. The seventy-five feet long ship has now become their only home.
The particle accelerator built in Geneva (Switzerland) has failed and has caused a new Big Bang. What seemed only a catastrophic threat has become reality. All the continents have dissapeared and all they have left… is each other. Adventure, mystery, action, love, heartbreak, comedy, drama … a perfect mix of ingredients for an adventure on “El Barco”.
3) Walking Dead RATING: 9
Zombies. Awesome. Zombies. Awesome. OK, OK, I´ll stop now. I´m sure you are very aware of the hype that has come to revolve this series. The Walking Dead, based on the comic book novels, has become THE TV show by excellence. It features an all too well known scenario: apocalypse, an unknown virus outbreak, and a few survivors. Their struggle for survival is what powers this series, just as it does with others with the same genre. But, what makes this show different from the rest? Well, I´ll tell you: great storytelling, believable personal drama, awesome action and a portrayal of very low life expectancy, which makes watching it all the more intense and dramatic. If you haven´t already, watch it. A piece of warning: when you mix zombies and survival, we´re usually talking about guns. And for all you math geeks… Zombies+Guns=Gruesome and graphic scenes. Just a heed of cautiono before you embark on this apocalyptic hell.
Synopsis:
The series stars Andrew Lincoln as sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes who wakes up after being in a coma to find the world dominated by “walkers”, resembling the zombies of George A. Romero’s horror movies. He sets out to find his family and other survivors along the way.
2) Breaking Bad RATING: 9,5
Breaking Bad caught me in a way I never expected. When your local high school chemistry teacher suddenly becomes the country´s most successful methamphetamine cook, things start going a little haywire. I just find it so amazing how the story progresses and always keeps you guessing at every turn. I don´t think I have ever suffered so much until I started watching Breaking Bad, right off the bat from season 1. I don´t think I can stress enough just how much this has entertained me. Needless to say, I believe I have 2.9 million other people backing me up. Just saying… (Click HERE for proof)
Synopsis:
Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White, a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman, with the aim of securing his family’s financial future before he dies.
And finally…. the moment you´ve all been waiting for… my… absolutely… MOST FAVORITE SERIES EVER!
1) Dexter RATING: 10
If you´ve seen it, you know what I´m talking about. If you haven´t… well… you´ve missed out on this masterpiece for far too long. I do not exagerate when I say this has driven and is still driving me absolutely crazy. Crazy suspense, a serial killer, a whole police department out to get you, a psychopath brother, a killer proclaiming the end of the world… what more can you possibly want? Words cannot even begin to describe how much I adore this series. Every episode has something different and new. Every episode draws you into the story, makes you sympathize for the characters, makes you feel what they feel. If I could describe it in a sentence it would be an “absoutlely stunning 4-D experience that gets to your soul”. If you are over 18 and willing to see some strong graphic killings I advise to prepare for the journey of a lifetime.
DISCLAIMER: I understand that this is not for kids. It portrays values that aren´t to be followed. Therefore I advise strong caution when watching this, as it is not for the lighthearted.

During his free nights, Dexter leads a double-life, chasing and killing murderers and collecting samples of their blood as trophies for his deeds.
