I just received a new Triond badge!
I just received a new Triond badge. I now have 200 articles written for Triond, and this article will make 201. I really like the fact that Triond awards its writers with badges. They don’t really serve any purpose, but it does seem to work as an incentive, or at least it does for me.
I believe that the first badge you get is for 5 articles written, then 10, 20, 50, and 100. I now have the 200 articles badge, but what bothers me is that the next one is not awarded until you have written 500 articles. That seems like quite a jump, don’t you think? What’s wrong with having one for 300 and 400 as well? After you finally get the 500 badge, you have to wait until you have written 1000 articles to get your next badge!
I also have a badge for how many views I have received on my articles. I do not remember how many you have to have before getting the first badge, but I believe it starts at 100. Please correct me if I am wrong. Right now my badge says that I have been viewed 5000 times, when in reality it is actually over 8000 times. I think that Triond should reward more frequent badges for views. At this time, I still have to get 1985 more views to get the next badge of 10,000.
