The Internet is full of articles covering thousands of different topics. Many of these articles make the writer of that article money while a great majority earn almost nothing. Often it is the content of the article that can help you make more money and keep the visitors coming back for more.

Your articles won’t make you any money if you’re not writing great content. Your article should have something of value to say to the reader and stand the test of time.  You need to write about things that people would search for online and find useful.  Your content is what will get your articles noticed and make you more money in the process. Give your readers a reason to come back and check out your work. If your article is too short or doesn’t provide anything useful it won’t get seen and when it does the reader won’t stick around and see what else you might have to offer. If your writing is on a website of blog they won’t click through your affiliate links because your writing has nothing that they need. It’s important to have articles that are of quality because that is what will drive the traffic to your work and put the money in your pocketbook.

Promotion and Links

Try to promote your articles of different sites such as social media sites and get your own blog. You might get a few blogs for each of your favorite topics and post links to your work there if you mainly write for writing content sites such as Hubpages or others. Make sure you link to your best content to keep the traffic flowing. Other places to promote your work include article directories where you can write a short piece and then link to your better work on other sites. Read forums and offer links to your work that match the forum topics.

Proof Your Work

Be sure to read through each article and pick out the errors. Use a spell checker and be sure you have no spelling mistakes. Make sure your paragraphs make sense and if you have extra money consider taking an article writing course or buying some books to help you write better articles.

It’s so important to give your readers great content. Make sure each article provides something useful for your reader. If you provide the content, over time you’ll make money. Content really is king.
