The medium is the message.
As I continue to write full time for Triond, I’m finding that the more I write the more I have to write about.
For a time, I worried that I could not possibly come up with enough ideas to turn out the amount of content I needed to make writing for Triond worth the effort.
Well, I should point out that I have a steady income that keeps a roof over my head and allows me to pay a few bills. And I’m still poor enough to be eligible for different programs for veterans and people over 60 that help me to survive.
So, I have time to write for Triond. The question is, what to write about?
The answer has turned out to be, write about daily observations, articles on writing and the occasional piece of fiction when a good idea comes along.
What I found out was that just by writing, just by working at the computer and carrying around a small notepad everywhere and thinking about writing all the time, I have plenty to write about.
This will not come as a surprise to any of you, but the more you write the more you have to write about.
The trick seems to be to find the right medium for your writing and then to be conscious that your subject matter is really “Life.” I know this is simplistic to the extreme but I’ve found that this works for me.
Maybe it can work for you.

Guy, again; another great article and good advice. Like you I get to focus on the work without starving, so it’s easier to find fresh views of the subject.

My problem is I am so busy writing to pay the bills that I seldom have time to write about the things I really want to write about!

Ideas are all around us.

It’s a bit like success breeds success isn’t it. I know exactly what you mean. When I’m busy focused on things other than writing I find it hard to come up with ideas, but when I’m writing consistently I can’t keep up with the ideas.

I agree with Martie. But writing is our passion anyway. Always like your work.

I find that the more i write the more i have to say. I think its because we come across more information as we write and read.
Thanks for a great read.

It would be nice if we had technology that allows us to speak and it is written. It probably does exist already. I have lots of ideas, but can’t seem to get them written. I guess that’s where writing them down is good, for later. I tend to write them in my head though, and then although I remember the subject, by the time I get to write them, the ‘’story” doesn’t seem to come out the same way a lot of the time.
