Improve your writing

Writing Report Card

I’m nearly at the hundred mark of published articles. It’s time for a little bit of perspective.

When we write articles online, it can be a goal-less and never ending cycle of research, write, type, submit.

Every once in a while, we should take a step back and see what we’ve done, what we should have done and what we hope to do.

What I’ve done.

I’ve written alot of articles over the last few months. They’ve been pushed out with a decent regularity. I would say that the most popular articles I’ve produced is:

Spying for Dummies

This covers some of the options for the Spies ‘brought in from the cold’ from New York, over the summer. For some reason this article is still creating good revenue too!

What I should have done

Perhaps researched more. There are times when articles can appear sketchy, and unfortunately I have not recieved criticisms for it so the cycle might continue. Overall, a sloppiness happened during the ’special’ months and the writing is noticably poorer. Nothing that can’t be improved upon though.

Perhaps the link above is a prime example of ‘writing for the sake of writing’.

What I will do.

I will probably get on with alot more article writing over the December/January period. There are darker days, less business to do around the office and generally a more relaxed atmosphere. I hope to take a bit of time to write some stellar articles that are well researched or even try a bit of creative writing out on this website.

Overall I would say that Triond has offered a great chance to improve my writing, getting me into a habit of typing and a generally proactive writer, rather than the idle doodler.

I wish all you other writers all the best and keep a check on your own writing with a report card liekt
