Here is flash fiction by the numbers.

“I’m interviewing Guy Hogan, the author of the flash fiction story ’Girls Kissing Girls’. Good afternoon, Mr. Hogan.”
“Hallelujah, it’s good to see you again. I still can’t get over that name.”
“It is a symbol of my essential individuality and my freedom of choice that you gave me.”
“Whatever.”
“Sir, may I call you Guy?”
“You most certainly may not. I’ll have no character that’s I’ve invented and who has taken such a ridiculous name as Hallelujah to call me by my first name.”
“Very well, Mr. Hogan. Explain your theory of flash fiction by the numbers for our reading audience. Can writing flash fiction really be that easy?”
“If the writer approaches it the right way it’s wonderfully easy. Find a significant event that can be told in a few hundred words. Any significant event. That’s how easy it is.”
“Like the first kiss between two roommates in ’Girls Kissing Girls’.”
“I couldn’t have said it better myself.”
“Thank you for the interview, Mr. Hogan.”
“Hallelujah, you’re welcome.”
