Writing Etiquettes

This is for those people that like to accuse people falsely, also are not capable of backing up their allegations. This is a writer’s site, let’s be polite or stay quiet.

I have a passion for writing, some times everything that I write is not going to be great and someone may make mention of it.  That will just make me struggle harder to be a better writer.  Someone on this site insist that I plagiarized someone else work.  I have viewed allot of work on Triond and I noticed that there may be some similarities, but we all have individual brains and styles.  You might read something I wrote and decide that you want to write on the same topic but in different words, which I have seem that happens.  For example I wrote an article about the elderly and someone later also wrote about the elderly but a completely different article.  I did not leave a comment in their article and accuse them of plagiarizing, but I did  let them know how wonderful the article was and they did a much better job then I did.  I loved their article. If people just come on this site to be mean, I suggest that they go pray.  There is enough ugliness and hatred in the world already.

Writing is an art.

It holds a different description for each individual.

You can pick it apart.

This just shows the levels of your smarts.

..

So I would like to invite you.

To show your color green, yes I think that will do.

So harsh your comments of others.

We are all here on Triond to help one another.

So I will wish you the best .

May each day that you have be a writing success.

All my love to LH

It’s true. Something we read from someone else may spark us to write on the same subject. It is not stealing ideas or plagarism. Most of what I write is inspired from things that have been said to me or things I have said to someone during a normal conversation. Ideas also come from everyday life occurrences. None of my friends who’s words have inspired my work has ever accused me of picking their brain or stealing their ideas. Most often they appreciate the fact that I have been able to express something that they themselves were having a hard time putting into words.

I agree with you. I think we should all be supportive of each other instead of accusing people of plagerism. I have noticed that some people have written similar articles to mine and I will still continue to support them. We may miss something that someone else may notice.

I agree. I never understood why some people just want to go around and leave hateful remarks about other people.

I agree a million. I was doing an article for someone and i wrote it completely in my own words. The person said it did not pass copyscape. I suggested that maybe i wrote similarly to someone else who wrote the same topic. I rewrote it again and she said the same. Everone has their own brain and it is possible for articles to look similiar.

Just don’t pay attention to people like them. They sit and mock people and put them to the test, they can’t do fly!

Great article. Hope they will back off.

i agree with you, same or different topics we all have a talent which gets better the more we practice, more good feedback the more confident that person becomes, we all have to start somewhere, thanks for sharing.

That’s a good and necessary article that says this is not a site
to be unkind to other writers. Of course that should apply most anywhere. Good reminder.

If you’re not using the same words, then it isn’t plagiarism IMO. Every topic that isn’t a current event has been written about dozens of times. Shakepeare could accuse thousands of writers of plagiarism if the same subject was the only prerequisite.

idk… I do have to say though that if someone commented, “You did a better job than I did”, on one of my articles, I would take that to mean that the person leaving the comment thought I was copying them. Maybe I’m just paranoid tho. :)

    Nice article.
