Writing Awesome Articles

Three ways to write awesome articles that pass on information and keep readers wanting to read the articles you write.

Want to write articles that get read?

If you’ve ever made a shopping list, wrote a letter to a friend or relative, or told a story, then you already have what it takes. Simply put your information in a format that readers appreciate and can follow. Here are three ways to do that.

Tell A Story

Everybody loves a good story. A story of how a product boosted company sales, or how a technique helped you write better. Or the time you discovered the answer to a long-standing puzzle, just by studying cloud formations.

Stories engage readers, right from the start. They get involved quickly and find it hard to stop reading until the “story” has been told in full. Use that knowledge to your advantage.

Write A Letter

When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone? Or sent a friend or relative an email?

That conversational tone you find in letters and informal emails works just as well in articles. It makes the reader feel like he or she knows you, and that you’re speaking directly to them.

Make A List

Here’s something we all do, all the time. Imagine trying to do all that shopping, week in and week out, without a list. 9 times out of 10 you’d forget something, right?

Lists help you stay organized. They also help readers navigate easily through your articles. If you can make your articles easier to read, simply by organizing them better, then more people will read them. And lists represent a great way of doing that.

Remember also that articles don’t have to be pages and pages long to succeed. As long as the information’s good and you feel you’ve made your point, that should be enough. Then move on and write your next one!
