It’s nearing eight months since I began writing for Triond. It’s been an adventure as I developed my writing skill, and learnt to open up to a readership of strangers. I have ventured off from writing solely personal content, to writing about my knowledge and philosophy about life including writing. I seek a better success with my online writing and this is how I aim to do so…
Focus more on specific topics
I’m thinking of trying to write more ‘specialised’ articles that deal with specific topics. I have seen it as an online writing trend that people opt to write about certain things in particular. It’s through focusing on a certain topic, and sticking to the topic at hand that one could give us a lot of info about something in particular and without having to write much at all. That way you save on time investment, and you get people to read about separate, isolated topics that people may even research the net to find!
Write shorter articles
I have discovered that most articles on the internet especially here on Triond are no more than 600 words. This is a good marker to go by actually as I’ll try and limit my articles between the 400-600 words. I write on an average of 1000-1200, and even if I work really hard and try to write as much quality material as I could, I still struggle to get an article a day over a month period! For me an article a day is a huge achievement, but for most three articles a day isn’t too unreasonable. It doesn’t mean people write more than me, it just means I write more than them per article. The only way I can keep quality at the same level, and even improve, is to lower the word count and keep to an absolute maximum of 600 words, and average at 500 words per article. That would be a 60% decrease if not more. What I lose in word count would be made up by a higher article count! Higher article count would expose me to a higher topic range, and potentially earn me a greater readership!
Experiment with different topics
I’d like to expand my written topics to some of my other interests. This would keep writing interesting for me, and also potentially open me up to a wider readership, as ill draw in readers that i don’t at the moment. I’d like to write about topics that deal with art, travel, history, politics, study, and people. So far I haven’t written much about any of that, and so I’m missing out on the clicks of the people that would specifically look for those topics. Expanding the topic range would be an awesome way in getting more recognition as an article writer, and more than anything, a writer with broad appeal!
Well there it is fellow readers the three steps ill hopefully be applying to my future writing as I bring you a bigger range of quality, a variety that wont expect you to read so much, but a system that will ultimately bring you more content! Thank you.

Excellent! They will love you on Associated Content. That is one of my other writing sites. You seem like you have a bit more experience in writing than just a few months. Helium is where I make the most money. Just wanted to offer a few suggestions.
