Online writers are paid based on the number of clicks or the traffic generated by the content they post. The more you write and share your writing, the more traffic you get. Here are 12 simple ways to double your traffic within a few days.
Here are 12 simple tips to double your trafic:
- Use pictures – I have discovered that articles that have pictures get more traffic than those without
- Make lists or use subtitles – Lists are more popular than block articles since they are easier to read or scroll through. Instead of listing, using subtitles is equally effective.
- Write simple articles – People hate complicated jargon they can not understand without referring elsewhere.
- Write on popular issues – People like gossip and other popular issues and search textbooks for more serious stuff.
- Utilize keywords – Check trends all over the internet and find out which phrases and search words are getting the traffic.
- Share your content – Social networking remains a key feature when it comes to traffic generation.
- Embed youtube videos – Youtube has a high Google page rank making its videos a good source of higher ranking.
- Pinging – Recently I have developed an insatiable need to ping the URL of every article I come with, especially for lists.
- Catchy titles – While I do not advocate for hollow titles that have nothing behind them, experience shows that a good title has the ability to get you tons of trafic than a brainless one.
- Traffic exchange – If you read and comment on others, they automatically read you and that is how I get traffic from Triond.
- Take part in fora – Fora are a good way of generating traffic for as long as you leave your URL behind when you post.
- Write more – The more you write, the more the views generated. It is more likely that ten good quality articles will generate more traffic than 1 article.

Fleur D, thanks for the question. A higher page rank equals more traffic and since youtube is owned by Google and has a higher page rank, it follows that using its videos adds an inherent value to articles helping in traffic generation.

I would choose a topic that has never before been written about only to arouse curiosity and make a person wonder what it is about…. Writing usually flows like the blood in your veins and when you write follow a simple thing: The beginning, Introduction, matter, Conclusion for prose. For Poetry use a rhythm/beat and use words to take the flow…. For variation in language, always read and keep upbeat it enriches vocabulary…. Editing, well no one likes that so leave it for few hours and come back you see your glaring mistakes…. Right from the heart to appeal to emotion and apply it to the intellect… That is the difference between Mark Antony and Brutus and how they won their audience….

Thanks for using the format of YouTube Videos like what I use on my poems/prose…. Always make sure they are related to the topic… The pictures and the videos that is…

Thanks Jimmy for useful advice. I also think that it takes time to get “known” so I think another “tip” might be that one should keep on writing – fame and fortune still does not happen overnight (unless maybe your surname is Rowling)
