Writing: 1000 Dollars From Google Adsense
Writing not only brings in joy and satisfaction but the money too and Google adsense integration seems to have driven me up to cloud nine. If the trend continues, I will have 1000 dollars from Google by December 2011 and added to the Triond income, a new car may be in the offing. Google Adsense from writing has increased
Google Adsense has increased tremendously and now old Shilaho wants more. Today I smiled like a cockroach upon receiving my December Cheque from Google. How much was it? Not as much as I want but it makes it possible for me to earn 1000 dollars from Google by the end of the year if the trend continues, added to the Triond income, who knows, I might replace my old Volkswagen beetle with a cheap Toyota, all from writing.
It won’t be the first 1000 dollars but coming from Google means a lot!
Why is old Shilaho excited about this? It won’t be the first 1000 dollars I will be making for I have been making much more than that from offline business, and neither will it make Google feel any pinch for there are people earning 100,000 dollars from Google and they don’t brag about it.
The money was never a factor when I started on Triond until…
The excitement lies in the fact that when I started posting my lackluster short stories on Triond two years ago, the money wasn’t a factor, in fact, I never thought about getting paid for online posts. All I wanted was to express myself and to change souls and to make the world a better place by giving a voice to the voiceless, but then started the clicks and the comments and the cents started trickling in. Boy, I was sleeping on a gold mine!
Will writing on Triond give me a new car?
Then came Adsense integration and of course it was slow on uptake but now older posts are giving me some good ad revenue and the cockroach smile is becoming a permanent feature around this time, every month. I know my fingers are wearing out but the possibility of replacing my old jalopy with some new car from writing interests me.
The old VW is like a first wife, old but gold!
The old rickety Volkswagen remains my favorite car despite the frowns it gathers when it snores through the streets but like a first wife who never leaves the heart despite a mistress coming along, she has to stay, come whatever may, for I am contented with the maximum 65kph that she achieves.
It all depends on you!
Will I reach the target by December? It all depends on you guys. Those clicks, comments, those cents, and the dollars at the end of the day keep me going. What would I do without you guys? Where would I be without your support? For those who have stood by me for all that long, may I say thank you. It’s you I write for, and it’s you that put the cockroach smile where it should be, permanently on old Shilaho’s face!

Good luck towards your december goal jimmy! Fortunately for me, my goals are much smaller because I simply don’t want to be disappointed.
By the end of the year, I simply want to be making a dollar everyday, no more, no less.

Keep us posted on how you’re doing towards your goal. We will all celebrate with you when you post the pictures of your new car a year from now…who know, maybe it will be sooner than a year from now!
Thanks also for sharing the information about your earnings. I do write because I love to write, but with seven kids, the money would really come in handy. I am aiming to be at a dollar a day within a few months and hoping that I can get there if I keep writing two or three articles a day. Stories like yours help keep me motivated (well that and the supportive Triond community).

Shilaho, Congrats on your first check. It took close to 1 year for me to get my first check and I was so happy that I took a photo of it and I still have it with me.
. My goal was slightly bigger than yours when this year started and thanks to my recent articles, I hope to reach there by Oct 2011.

Jimmy, I’m so happy for you, my friend. But watch yourself. I had google and they cut me off without any explanation, other than I was a danger to their advertisers I couldn’t get another thing out of them. Triond looked over my work and could find nothing wrong. I still don’t know what happened.
