Writers Using Chitika on Bukisa – Can’t See Ads, or Earning?

With the new changes in the Bukisa earning system some writers will be using Chitika for adverts instead of AdSense. Will the writers still earn and why can’t the writers in some countries see the adverts on their articles?

Why can’t you see your Chitika adverts on Bukisa

Firstly the Chitikaand Bukisa union will only occur in 2011.

Secondly make sure you have placed the adverts on your Bukisa articles correctly.

For writers in countries that are not supported by Chitika they may be confused when placing Chitika adverts on their blogs or Bukisa articles and then not being able to see the Chitika adverts. You cannot see your Chitika adverts on your blog or Bukisa articles unless you are in one of the Chitika supported countries.

 Chitika supported countries are:

United States of America (US); Canada (CA); United Kingdom (UK);Great Britain (GB); Germany (DE); Italy (IT); Spain (ES); Netherlands (NL); Denmark(DK); Norway(NO); Sweden(SE).

This means that users coming to your site or Bukisa articles from a country other than those listed above will not see your adverts. It follows that you will not make ANY profit on Bukisa from unsupported Chitika countries. Bukisa views from India, South Africa, Israel, Turkey etc. will not make you any money as they will not see any Chitika adverts to click on.

How to preview your Chitika adverts if you are viewing the site from an unsupported country

Even if you are in a Chitika unsupported country it is possible for you to check out your Chitika adverts and just make sure they are there.

Type your Bukisa article URL or blog URL into your browser.

Then add on the end of the URL : #chitikatest=keyword

Press Enter or Refresh.

Now you will see a preview of your Bukisa article or blog with the Chitika adverts, as viewers will see them in the supported countries.

How to insure you can still profit with Chitika adverts on Bukisa

It follows that if you are only going to profit from Chitika advert clicks, and if the adverts are only going to be seen in the above listed supported countries, you need to aim your article content at the readers in the chitika supported countries.

Trial and error will show us whether the new Bukisa earning system is profitable or not, writers may find that either AdSense or Chitika is more profitable on Bukisa. What is for sure is that it is much easier to get article views that to get clicks on adverts.

    Hi DuckInTheTruck
I wrote to Chitika about viewing ads in New Zealand and this is what they said:
Typically we will surely show to the following countries: US, CA, UK, GB, DE, IT, ES NL, DK, NO, SE and now India

However, as we expand, we may start showing ads to more countries, like New Zealand; since we are adding merchants daily from all over the world. This will also depend on the advertisement being called to displayed by our system. We will always only display when we can, even in highly supported countries.

Maybe you mean you can see the ads when you use the code I gave above?

I dropped Bukisa after they began requiring their writers to not only be responsible for publishing new content, but also, taking the responsibility to deal with advertisers. It is hard enough to write new content, research the content being written and promoting the content published. There isn’t enough time in the day to do everything and to do everything well, so I quick writing and publishing with Bukisa.

I could make more money, just building my own website and do what I have been doing with Bukisa, if I had the desire to do everything. That is the reason why I have stuck it out with Triond, because they deal with advertisers, so to allow me to do what I do best.
