Writers’ Tools – Plagiarism Checkers-1

After writing out an article it would be wise to check out if it is unique, just to save yourself from the trouble of getting rejected or rewriting the article. When I started off, writing content for people on various topics I have been working for months without getting accepted.I have been able to derive a few reasons about why I wasn’t getting through and I tracked down a few methods and tools which would check for every possible error and the first in the list is plagiarism.

There is a funny tale which inspired me to write this article apart from being rejected multiple times the tale is as follows-

My friend sent me a link to a blog that he has been writing and it was so perfect the language, the grammar , the phrases “wow! wait up! he could not have written that”i stopped my brain which kept applauding and appreciating the hard work and the effort that he might have put into editing the article and it turns out that 90% of the article is copied a few lines from a source and a few more from another website and has been stitched out to look perfect.

Nobody likes to publish copied content everyone needs unique content for their website or the blog due to copyright infringes and to depict the quality of the content and for various other reasons. If your work is being rejected check if you have been copying content accidentally or unintentionally. There are several websites which look up the web to find phrases if any that match with those in your article.

These websites can also be useful to publishers to cross check their content before publishing though they many not match the abilities of a software but they are close enough to perfection.

Here are a few websites which do the job for free

www.plagiarismchecker.com

this might be the best out there

it has multiple options for checking website content. you can either

1.copy the content onto the search box to search for matching phrases all over the net and then you can create a google alert which would let you know if any new content similar to yours appears on the internet

2.copy the link of the webpage that you want to check

or you can report plagiarism to google, yahoo or other search engines

but there is a word limit of 32 for google and 50 for yahoo

www.articlechecker.com

It has a text box to copy paste your content and search for probable copies of your content on the web

it also has a link box where you can paste links of your webpages to check for matches and you can also set google alerts for the matchings individually.

www.duplichecker.com

It is worth taking a peek at though not so impressive but it has features similar to article checker

it has a search box for your content to be pasted and it searches for matching phrases and you can choose between three different search engines google , yahoo or msn

There is one feature worth mentioning  You can also select content file (*.txt) by pressing Browse button & then press Insert Content Button.
