Writer’s Block Walls

Thoughts as to a what a writer wants to achieve.

As a writer I find many times that I face many walls. Some would call them writers block or a stumble. However I believe that these walls really are just ways for a writers mind to take a brake from thinking as to what he or she feels they should put down to paper. A month or so ago when I truly found time to write or post my thoughts I had started out so fast as to what I was thinking I began to forget what it was I thought.

I was so excited to receive real thought or comments on what I had written. That I felt I had to put everything down my mind came up with. Later I was to see that as a writer or reader of some other writers. I had to limit my self from my own thoughts as to what they wrote because I was thinking as to what I would write later and the thoughts they as writers may choose to say. It was if I was telling every would be writer out there that they were great so that in return they would come to my site and tell me I was great! However after long thought I decided that writers are like any other would be study or course taken from actors to singers there are good actors and bad actors there are good singers and bad singers. With righting I have found that there are good writers and there most definitely are bad writers. Not in the since as to the things they choose to right about or even the stories they choose to tell. I find that it’s all in the way the story or thoughts are written that makes them good or bad. Many times I have sat in seminars where there will be a main speaker. The speaker will start off strong and then loose wind as his presentation or thoughts go flat. I have watched people look for the nearest exit thinking that they would like to leave or only stay out of courtesy.

As a writer you must ask your self the question did your writing start out strong grab the interest of the readers you are trying to reach then some how in say chapter 4 fizzle out loose the reader or make them feel they did not want to read the rest for lack of lost interest or lost subject as to what they hoped the story was going to be about. Many times I have read great writers that put real magic to the page and then thought wow I would like to read other things they have written only to be disappointed or thinking what was it that I saw of interest in the Author in the first place.

I had heard the saying a true writer is only as good as his last article. If it is good your readers will want more and more.

A reader base is an insatiable hunger to find that perfect author or writer that relates to them as in thought or like.

However in saying that many reader look for a way to get interested in things they may not have thought about reading before.

So as a writer I feel that for those that read what I write I would choose to be an ever lasting gob smacker than a piece gum that starts out juicy and full of flavor then suddenly in mid sentence dries out to be a rubbery tasteless nothing my readers choose to spit out.

I find that as a writer its not how much I can write or how much others read what I right but how much I can write that is truly good and worth the time for others to read it.

I have listened to great speeches and been so in to them that at the end tears were streaming down my face and I was cheering with the crowed. Upon leaving I was so up beat that I felt I wanted more. I just did not want it to end. However later I really could not say too much as to what I had heard or remembered in the speech. I have read books and stories that carried me through them on a rain bow a real page turner , However at the end I would put the book down and it would be a read that done that kind of thing and move on.

Then there were those speeches that were given that I had listened to fully all the way through and walked away not as up beat but thinking about it and all the points it made those speeches I wanted to go over in my mind again and again to search out the fine points. In saying that many books are that way many stories are that way as I read them I go through them and think wow I read that book and just did not feel it or get what the author was saying. Later on something in my life will happen or take place that I will say wow I really need to go reread that book I get it now. It is that type of an author whose writings become classics or remains on the minds and book shelves for ever. As a writer I want my thoughts and stories and inspirations to be others inspirations and hope to many years from now be still read and on the minds of new generations.

As writers we owe that to those that read what we pass on to the world for we writers are the great thinkers and the Mind builders for the past this time and moments in the future.
