Wishful Thinkings of a Writer at Triond!

I also want to make it clear that by running for the president of the writing community, I do not have any personal motives like becoming popular, having more friends, getting more views and thereby earning more money.

Dear Friends,

First of all I thank you all for giving me such a golden opportunity of running for the president of the writing community here; I hear someone else murmuring what credentials I have, to contest for such a coveted post, when I am not even able to make it to the Hot content list. May be I am unable to fit myself into the algorithm as devised by the authorities at Triond. But that does not deter me from contesting this post, because what is relevant and what matters for this post is that I should be more concerned for a common cause than others and I am.

I also want to make it clear that by running for the president of the writing community, I do not have any personal motives like becoming popular, having more friends, getting more views and thereby earning more money.

I am also conscious of the fact that I am out of the network that some of you have;I am not jealous of your network; nor do I want to become a part of it, because if I enter a network of friendship, I should remain committed, reciprocate what my fellow writers do; but I am sorry to say that though I may not have a lengthy list of friendship as of now, I cannot read all my friends in my network and comment then and there on their articles. That is why I could not join any new network of friendship when some of you actually invited me to join.

Now coming to our burning issues; I know most of you are disgruntled with the present system of hot content list based on a peculiar system what they call algorithm. Why most people oppose this method? An article’s, I repeat, a particular article’s individual merit and worth is being ignored and so sometimes even substandard articles find a place in the list. Therefore, I would like to suggest a more practical method of. preparing a lengthy list of hot content, say with twenty articles, than sticking with the present system of ten articles. That would largely solve the problem and all sorts of bickering about hot content list.

Then this site having grown considerably both in viewer ship as well as in the income, I will bat for the writers in this way: I will try to get upfront payment for the articles posted by the writers. Having said that I would like to introduce a system: articles which are substandard in their content, which need editing, proof-reading etc, will not get published.

I will also strive my best to get introduced a rating system as prevail in the web sites like Helium, so that all the articles published are getting compulsory viewer-ship, besides a rating according to the merit of the article. This rating system actually paves a way to increase the income of the site as well as the writers concerned.

Before concluding, I would like to make one more proposal; creating a fund to help the cause of writers, I mean helping them to subscribe to standard on line magazines and to acquire more writing tools. Some of you may not agree with the proposal since it is not feasible. It is feasible as well as possible provided if we take concrete steps in the right direction.

Therefore, I request all of you to vote for me; I swear that if I get elected, I will try to achieve all the proposals that I have outlined above so as to uplift the Triond writing community!
