Writing is a part of life, but why is it so important?
So many people in this world hate writing and hate reading. I can understand disliking it, but I can’t understand how you can hate it. Think of it this way, when you go to your local fast food restaurant, how do you order? You read from the listen food items in the “menu.”
For many reasons is writing important. One, it’s to get a message across. Non fiction writers write to get the history of a person or place down on paper for other people to read. A book, as people call it, helps to get out information about almost every subject. For example, a textbook, Algebra 10, is likely to have information about tenth grade algebra while a book entitled, Sowing for Dummies, has information about beginner sowing patters and technique.
Another reason to write is to mark down history. It’s pretty cool how we know what cave dwellers did to get food. We understand that some of them used spears to hunt because of cave drawings, an early form of writing. What if cavemen never made those writing? We’d probably be behind a while in that field of science.
As you can see, writing is good for passing on knowledge, but it an also be used for fun. Reading story books or fiction books are a great way to get passed boredom of a late summer evening. It let’s you travel to another world for the cost of a few dollars, or free if you go to the library.
Like I said, you can dislike reading and writing, but in the end, you know you can’t live without it.
