Why I Like to Do Editorial Work

Editorial work is my passion. It gives me a sense of fulfillment to share my ideas to other people.

Getting into an editorial work has been in my daily system. I like reading, writing and researching information to learn and to keep abreast of the important details happening around the world.

My passion to communicate has led me to take journalism as a career and to help other people in sharing their ideas and help them convey whatever message they would like to say.

I believe an editorial work is a thinking job. It molds me to be better person and teaches me to be a critical individual in validating facts and being keen on details that I encounter. That is the reason I have been involved in various types of publishing materials. I have been a book editor, sub-editor in a local newspaper, copy editor of international journals and currently as a research and publications officer in a leading university in the Philippines.

Certainly, various aspects of the editorial work are empowering in such a way that you create pieces of artwork that will be useful to the readers. I recognize the fact that the information that I create and contribute will be beneficial in uplifting the minds of people who read them. In my little way, I am able to share a part of me in delivering good information and presenting them in a readable and direct way.

Doing an editorial work keeps me on the go and helps me to have a storage of mental concepts in exercising my wit and sound judgment in daily living.

I have to assume, from this example, that English isn’t your first language and that your editorial work isn’t done in English. Otherwise, I would have to hope that my work never falls to you to correct.

You are arrogant Sylvie as if you are a good communicator. Who told you that Maynard will accommodate your work?

I guess Sylvie doesn’t know what a good article is. She just knows how to criticize. What do you mean by “I would have to hope”? Is that structure correct? Maynard is a good writer. You are just insecure, Sylvie.
