Everyone is leaving Triond because of lowered views.
Ever since Google did it’s thing with changing the algorythym (whatever that is), writers have been deserting Triond like rats leaving a sinking ship. I just joined Triond in mid-February and I am still having the most fun of my life writing here. I will NEVER leave. I love the people here and have made so many new friends that I am just not willing to say goodbye just yet. This is the first time I have ever made money on my writing.
It isn’t all about the money, although that does help, but about people drawing together with a common interest…writing. I have learned how to improve my writing, have written about things that I would never have thought of, and have made myself at home on Triond. That’s a little hard to give up just because others aren’t getting the amount of article views that they once had. My views have actually increased so I have no complaints.
I have also learned more about promoting my writing as well. All are invaluable things to learn without actually taking a writing course. I think though what gives me the most pleasure is seeing my kids beaming with pride at the fact that I am finally doing something with my writing and reading the wonderful comments that I get on my articles by fellow Triond writers. There are some things that you just can’t put a price on. So I will stay with Triond for as long as it takes. I really believe that the views will come up again…eventually.

you are truly right shiela… triond feels like home, unlike other sites where it’s hard to establish great personal connections.. but earnings here really suck (LOL!)… still i’m staying too…

I haven’t been writing as much on Triond lately, but plan to do so soon. I love writing for this site, because I can write what I want to write about and the friendships here are great. With my current situation, I am trying to find a way to make money at home by freelancing on the internet and I have to focus my attention on this at the moment.

You are absolutely right – the pay is diddly squat, but the community is addictive. I’ve been here for three years, and I am just now starting to make some money from my old work.

I had no idea that other writers views were lowering. Nice article though as always.

I haven’t been writing much lately, but I know what you’re saying. I write for a couple of other sites besides Triond, but here I’m totally free to write about whatever I feel like. That means a lot. Good luck to all of us, eh?

You will make it big time, some day, dear friend. Don’t give up.
I on the other hand, have, as far as writing in here is concerned. I won’t leave though. What I have written so far, can stay here, but I won’t write anymore and see my articles, plagiarised throughout the web. That is disheartening. I am concentrating on my book plans.

I too noticed a drastic drop in my views
but didn’t know why.
I just assumed that it was because I haven’t been writing as much lately!!

Sheila I agree – I have learned so much about self promotion whilst on Triond and yes my views are increasing daily

Triond definately has its place for writers. The same reason we like it here, freedom of expression, is the same reason views increase and decline.
Expanding our writing to sites that pay better doesn’t mean we need to abandon our roots.

Hi Sheila -
Triond is bar-none the best and closest knitted together community to make some real friends and establish lasting friendships. It is the main reason why I have not started writing for other sites on a regular basis.
One online publisher is all I can handle, so to focus my attention to be the very best that I can to my readers and to my writing. I am returning back to my old way of writing and firing up that old marketing machine that I built to promote my older articles when I was new to Triond.
I just love the friends that I have made here at Triond.
I really enjoyed reading your most honest and heartfelt article. Keep it up. Keep moving forward and Success will meet you in the way.
Sincerely,
Nelson Doyle
