What’s Your Page View History?

The history of my page views and learning how can I change my page views on the other sites that I write on. Triond, Bukisa, Associated Content, are the sites that I’m concerned about my page views. Have an opinion, then leave it in the comment section. Learning about SEO is very important in order to be a successful writer.

Writers want their articles to receive as many views as possible. Then their page view history will give them incentive to keep writing day after day. Low views mean less money for serious freelance writers. There are articles, poems, slideshows, and audios that freelance writers write for pure enjoyment. Many writers have made writing their full time job. They need their income from the sites they write for to leave them with a promising future.

My experience with Ehow always puts a smile on my face when it comes to the page view history of my articles I have posted there. The history of my views from Triond are not as high. I added the keywords they suggested, and even added more. I do have a few that rank higher, but overall the views are not as high as on other sites.

The history of the page views on Associated Content is very good. Some of the articles numbers reached 1,000 page views over night. The same article on Triond only gave me maybe 35, more or less. The history of my views on Bukisa is lower than Triond most of the time.

In my opinion the keyword suggestions are great choice options, so why the low views. There are a few writing sites that have given me views in the hundreds, but still low in views overall. Other sites gave me more than just hundreds. Does anyone know the answer to the history of my page view problems?

I want to figure this page view problem out, so I can fix the history of my page views forever. The articles I place on Associated Content give me the most views. Why does my article here on Triond and the one on Bukisa produce such low views? Got the answer! I would appreciate all of you, and if you can help me understand this I thank you in advance.

I am sorry I can’t help you either. My posts on Triond get far fewer view than on other sites I have tried, but at least Triond pays out at 50 cents. I would never reach the payout stage on most other sites.

Interesting question you raised. I do not know the answer since I only write for Triond and I’m also struggling with views myself. Will follow this topic. I hope somebody will provide the answer.

AC is a bigger site and has more traffic compared to Triond and Bukisa. Triond has a larger number of users than Bukisa and a network of sites that provide for better traffic than Bukisa and that is why if you compare the three, AC has to come top followed by Triond and lastly Bukisa.

For my articles anyway, I’m sure it is all about the choice of content and who actually wants to read it. I have discovered for my articles, the ones that have an interesting title do better than the others. I pay no attention to SEO, I just get on and write what I want to write, so I’m no help to you Jenny.

I think it has little to do with friends. Even though we strive for reads from friends, I have not noticed a good view history unless the WWW ( world wide web) likes my topics. It is the subject title that draws people into reading, but the contents that keeps them there. I am not able to help you further, but would tell you and others if I knew,.

You need to get over articles getting large page views overnight and work on articles that get page views consistently for all time to come even if they are low. That means you need to shift from active income to passive income.

Check out my article on: what is your articles success ratio at Triond? which answers some of your doubts.

To answer the other, note the order of sites with decreasing potential number of page views overnight (assuming author does not do any promotion):
ehow (potential as much as wikipedia)
    scienceray
    hubpages
    associated content
    healthmad
    Bukisa
    cinemaroll
    socyberty
    other triond network sites
    my blog

For me Bukisa is an overall satisfactory.

Go to alexa.com and there is the answer, Triond first, is one of the slowest sights to use and is not ranked high in traffic. Guess what? Bukisa is owned by Triond. This is a site we love for the community but the page view situation is a problem. I’m a newbie and I figured it out. When picking a site to write for, one has to go to alexa.com to check how much traffic the site get. We need to write for sites that are already ranked high for traffic.

At alexa.com you will find that Associated Content is a higher ranking site where people tend to stay on longer to read. Since Triond had that Malware fiasco, page views are even lower I think.

Bukisa is not owned by Triond. Bukisa is owned by creators of articlebase.com (Simon is one of the two co-founders). Bukisa launched in 2008.
Triond is created by three entrepreneurs in 2006. In the beginning of 2006, Triond had a different name.
Both the owners of Triond and Bukisa are based in Israel whereby lot of laws become laxed for themselves and writers too.
The models of these two sites are totally different in all aspects and each have their own creators and history.
    @Minister Marlene,
Tomorrow you can say Associate content is also owned by Triond. That will be a good joke.

I think the best way to getting more traffic is by getting more friends and fans. You should do more promotion yourself. Add your articles to your facebook account, link to Triond via other social sites too. I had very few page views on most of my articles. I have tried to make the subject matter interesting as I can but I don’t think it is just about the subject. I don’t fully understand either.

I experienced the same thing for some topics. I think it may just be the nature of each site. I notice some topics do better on Associated Content.

I too am trying to find this out, but I think wat Silaho said is true. AC is a bigger site when compared with Triond and that could be the reason.

  • Melinda J
    October 19th, 2010 at 11:07 am

AC definitely give you more page views than Triond. My articles are doing well over there than it is here. I also learn that if you post the same article for different writing sites that counts against you, and you page view will be lower. That sucks because this means we have to come up with more article ideas. Good luck, everyone.

Too bad I can’t write for AC. Not qualified because of geographical issue :-)

Page views can be baffling most times :-)

Associated Content had many partner websites even before Yahoo bought over.
Sometimes reporters from Reuters wrote commentaries and linked to certain articles in Associated Content.
Wall Street Journal is another website that regularly links to Associated Content.
Triond does not have such benefits.
