What is Hot Content
Hot Content is spoken so much about on Triond but what really does coincide hasbeen Hot Content.
What is Hot Content just because an article has lots of page views doesn’t make it hot content. The title may grab you in but the article base might just be filled with a load of rubbish. I think some of my best articles are the ones with the least views to be honest. I think that if you can write a piece and it gets no page views and be happy with that in yourself then this is hot content. Writing for me is about expressing yourself and getting things off your chest. If you felt good about writing the piece and you achieved what you wanted to achieve then you have done what you set out to do. Hot Content should not be about what other people see. I write first and foremost for me. I find writing is a great release and a wonderful way to relax. I don’t set out to write an article to get on the Hot Content list. I just write about things I love, and that is enough for me. If someone likes my pieces then great I’m not complaining. I’m just saying that the Hot Content list should not be a priority. If you write with freedom and enjoyment then the Hot Content list will follow. Most of the stuff what is on the Hot Content list is a load of rubbish. People writing about Celebrities what are not even dead that just isn’t writing for me. If you can write an article that made you happy inside and people read it and enjoy it that is Hot Content. First and foremost if you’re happy with the article why should you worry about what other people think? Does anything really deserve to be called Hot Content I mean what one person likes another person hates. So you’re never going to be Hot to everyone. I just think we should concentrate on writing and enjoy doing that. Hot Content to be fair what is it anyway.

You’re right, there is a LOT of rubbish in the hot contents list. I even wrote an article about it.

I have written about the dodgy hot content list numerous times but I’ve learnt to look at online writing in another light. The ultimate aim of the game, so to speak, with online writing is to gather as many readers/clickers as possible! Of that readership base you’ll begin to develop a steady readership of constant readers.
The greater your exposure is online; the greater will be your readership. The hot content list allows for mega exposure, it’s the Triond Holy Grail so to speak! It’s almost like another dimension altogether that unlocks a whole new level of competition. Online writing is a numbers game, the more you write, and the more clicks and comments you get, the higher your success rate becomes, and eventually it all builds up to create an ‘online presence’!
Earning a real online presence allows one to have mass readership no matter what they write, and it’s a great way to make good money from your home office! It’s a business that goes beyond writing!
