One writer gives his perspective on what he likes best about the content publishing site known as Triond.
I’ve been writing for the content publishing site Triond off and on for a few years now. I’ve made decent money here and there, more than a hundred bucks a month at one point. I’ve seen people come and go, have written more than 500 articles, and have watched the ups and downs of the arguments and such that used to go on within Triond’s forum (back when there was a forum). As far as I can tell, I’m one of the few writers on the site who writes for a living, meaning I suppose that I’m a professional, at least to some extent or another; the bills are getting paid, and that’s what is important to me and my family.
Why have I stuck with Triond for so long? The pay is awful, the staff pays little to no attention to the writers or the site, and like any free and open online site, Triond has its share of nuts and confrontational idiots. Again, why do I stick with Triond?
Mostly for two reasons.
I find Triond’s interface one of the easiest to work with of all the different writing sites I have utilized over the years. It has its glitches, little things a regular user can work around to some extent or other, but it is still pretty easy to use. It’s a straightforward interface that does what is needed without a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles that would just garble up the working page and make things more difficult. There are just enough tools to do what I need.
I can hear the Triond regulars laughing now. Money? How can he like the money since the pay at Triond is so bad, literally pennies. I admit Triond pays next to nothing, but the pay scale is what it is and griping about it will accomplish little to nothing. What I do like, however, is that I always get paid and I always get paid on time. In more than three years writing for Triond, my pay has always shown up in my Paypal account on the tenth of the month. Always. Every single time. I can’t say the same for any of the other writing sites I have tried over the years. With the other sites, there are always a bunch of hoops to jump through to get paid, or the payment is late and there is some excuse as to why. I’ve even have some horror stories of my own in which it took me more than half a year to get paid less than a hundred bucks from one site.
I’m sure there are some who have had trouble with their Triond payments, but I’ve never had such problems, which is another reason I remain loyal to Triond.
Are there things about Triond I would like to change? Of course. But there are also two big reasons I keep coming back. Until those two things change for the worse, and hopefully they won’t, I’ll keep coming back to Triond. Oh, I might take a week or a month off here and there, but eventually I always come back.
I hope that continues. And I hope the site keeps trying out new things, because I would like to see it succeed.

Of course Triond is great.

Yeah, Triond pays on time every time. It’s such a shame I don’t get enough every month to get it paid into my account. That’s my fault though.
If I worked it in a more focussed way, it would mean payment every month.
And I love it being so simple to work with. Shame so many of the people on it are illiterate morons…

Great article, sharing very frankly your experiences. I’m one of those who come and go. I was off for a year, and now I’m back. Triond is great. I write more for fun than for money, yet, with certain tips here and there, the pay can be decent. It’s up to the individual writer.

I hadn’t thought about the interface before, but it is easy. I never had to learn about html before I started publishing outside Triond.

I agree. Very nice and honest share.

Confession: Several times I’ve composed articles here because the interface works efficiently, then published them on alternate sites where they fit better or pay much more.

There’s always pros and cons.
