What Do You Write About?

What subjects do you tend to write about?

When it comes to blogging, there really is no limit as to what you can write about. Anything you can imagine can be written about. Chances are more then good that someone out there will read what you have to write no matter what it is. When you blog, what do you write about?

Some people have specific subjects they write about. Some are strictly poetry or creative writing while other people like to share informative information with people. I have read several blogs lately about people who tend to get writers block and others who sometimes just feel like they have ran out of things to write about.

When I write, I don’t ever have anything in particular that I write about. I never stick to one genre and I don’t do strictly creative or informative writing. I tend to literally write about either what I feel at that particular moment or suddenly and idea will just pop into my head and I will rush to a sheet of paper or my laptop and write it out.

I don’t proofread, well besides doing a quick spell check. I don’t ever try to sit and write something. If I force myself if just doesn’t seem natural and from the heart. I don’t limit myself as to what I will write. I will share anything and everything whether it is a made up story or factual. I have found that 99.9% of the time all the things I write creatively are just that, creative. Sometimes they are based on stories from friends other times they are completely fictional. I also never try to write something just to make a quick buck off of it. If people enjoy my stuff great. If not, oh well.

I am probably one of the few people I know who never try to think stuff out before I write it. I am sure as a writer this can sometimes do more harm then good.

So when you blog, what do you write about? Do you go into it thinking about a subject? Maybe you just enjoy writing love poems are short stories. Please share.

I mostly write poetry, but never on just one subject. I like to stick with a variety of topics. I also occasionally write short stories and articles.

Although I write predominantly poetry on this site,I am in the process of setting up a blog to cover other things. I agree that random writing from the heart can be the best way to develop ideas too (and overcome writer’s block!) Good piece again.

Anything I can fit into my lunch breaks at work (where I have access to a computer!)… no doubt one of these days IT will cotton on and restrict the site, but until then…

Hm…although I mostly write poetry/fiction/novellas, I do enjoy venturing into other areas (such as science or everyday facts you didn’t know).

    Inclusive article!

    Warm regards,

When I blog, over at my yahoo profile, that is usually stuff from my life. It seems that there is always something to tell. I believe everyone has stories to tell from their life, but so many are not raised to do that. In my family we are always telling something when we get together.

Here at Triond, I write stories from my life, poems, tales and articles. I do tend to write a lot with dragons in them. I’ve been writing since I was 12. My first poem got me my first kiss.
