Publish More and more and more…
Yeah! Iam sorry but that’s Triond’s Answer to Low Earnings.
This month I have earned only 38 cents from Triond so there won’t be any earnings for me since the amount is less than 50 cents which is the fixed minimum payout figure from Triond. And what does Triond have to say to this? Well, here’s what I see when I click on earnings. To increase your earnings publish more articles.
Triond’s Answer to Low Earnings. Besides, whenever I haven’t got any views for the day, Triond is there telling me the same thing: To publish more articles. Why is Triond telling me to publish more and more?
Well Triond claims that to earn more you need to get more views and to get more views you need to publish more articles. Now as I have recently stated in one-cent-for-300-views my experience has yet to prove this to be true. Otherwise it just seems like Triond is a machine which doesn’t know anything more than what it has been programmed to say:publish more articles. It seems like Triond is not human and has no powers of human reasoning at all (let alone sympathing and caring for it’s writers). And Iam an “Idiot on Triond” believing that I can make my mark as a writer through it!
Which makes me wonder: What is Triond really? Is it for writing or just publishing? Is it about views? or is it about the sites from where you get the views? As I mentioned in one-cent-for-300-views apparently only articles published on certain sites can earn, then what are the other sites for?
And even if Triond is entirely automated…why would it publish for nothing. I think we at least need to know exactly what’s going on here on Triond instead of being led to believe that the answer to all our problems on Triond is to To publish more articles. I want a better answer for Triond. Is there anyone listening?

do not think other people want to see the article if we do not want to see and make comments on their articles.
thanks..

Triond has turned a deaf ear, and apparently that’s how some people like it since they have nothing better to do then mock the situation. Keep up the fight. You have people behind you willing to stand up to the machine.

While I do agree that earnings per hit are lower, and that it is somewhat a cold and obvious suggestion to keep writing, I think this is a voluntary free site, so the alternative is always there for just leaving it.
I agree topics like this need to be brought up and discussed, but if it ends up turning into non-productive complains I would say no one is forcing you to stay.
In my case, I don’t make a lot of money, but I tried other sites and noted most are not even paying per view anymore, just letting you run adsense, so in a way, even when Triond pays less than before, I still prefer Triond over other sites.
But that is me, and if it is not you, then I would suggest you let Triond waste the opportunity of having you.
Thanks for sahring,

I believe in quality not quantity. I don’t agree with triond.

Thanks for sharing your views..yeah it’s true we all have the option to bow out as and when we choose but what irks me is that we are being led on my false promises…I mean what else could it mean? Asking us to publish more if not implying that when we do our views can go up and subsequently earnings too??

I agree. This is why I wrote Pennies for Poetry. I’m averaging about one cent a day on nearly 200 pieces posted. Some are long some are short but it has me writing more haiku than anything else

I still continue writing regardless of that. Thanks for the thought though…

It’s not true that you earn nothing on some Triond sub-sites, but rather that you earn considerably less. Authspot and Relijournal are the two lowest payers from what I’ve seen and the reason is surely that they are unattractive to advertisers. I am guessing here, but advertisers might assume that people who visit fiction and poetry pages are not in the mood for spending money and so the advertisers are not willing to pay so much to appear on these pages.
.
That said, I’d welcome a lot more transparency from Triond over how earnings are calculated, maybe through a much more detailed end-of-month statement.

You are right. We still can re-publish our articles.

Personally, I think all these writing sites need to increase the pay for their writers. I figured it out today. My pay increases only two cents a day. Minimum wage is $8.25 last I knew. That means if we are getting two cents a day it will take roughly ten months to get an hours worth of pay. Good lord.
We really must not be in it for the money. The connection with friends and writers and feedback is the most positive thing out of the whole thing.
And I am not writing hardly any poetry today due to reading an article that Triond might be selling our stuff to publishers. If that is the case, I am out of here. I’m waiting for them to email me back to clear up the matter.
I plan on self publishing a book of my poetry some day and I don’t need anyone suing me for my own stuff.

Someone in the writing group I was partaking said that writing online is a writer´s frustration. I didn’t want to believe it since I was a newcomer here. I just wanted to give it a try for some time. Now, I realise that he was dead right. I’ve also to say that I don’t even believe many of the comments I got on my content, because they just sounded too flattery to be believed. It led to think that many worte trivial things such as “Good info” or “Nice” expecting that I was going to comment on theirs. I’m a good reader as well as a writer and I only read things that I’m interested or they may teach me somethig and after reading II’ll most definitely give a good comment that shows I’ve read it. If someone rells “Well done!” I’m likely to ask them why. On the other, hand I presume that many wishing to write as much as Triond requires go to Wikipedia and… You may not agree with this. It’s your right, but it’s what I think after my two year experience writing online. Thanks for sharing!
