On Sunday the thumbnails were not loading the website, continuing the stream of Triond website problems that are plaguing uses. What is going on here? Is Triond continuing to crumble to an inevitable death?
I don’t like to complain but you know what I’m going to do it anyway. Day of the last, that being October 2nd 2011, for the second time in eight days, Triond suffered a glitch that caused the website to be unusable and thus no new content got posted for a period of oh about fourteen or fifteen hours. What was that problem you ask? Well you know those little images that you use for thumbnails, well guess what they wouldn’t load?
I hate those images for the record. I don’t think they should be mandatory. Or I think that we should be able to upload our own image to use as a thumbnail. It wasn’t the first time that the thumbnails on this website were not loadable or took forever to load.
And today we had the bad gateway issues at Triond for the fifty millionth or so time in the past six months. In addition to the content is “XXXX seconds behind.” If I had a dollar for every time I saw that one, I could retire.
Then there is the constant problems content being posted in the wrong area. I believe I might have brought this up once or twice or a hundred or so times. While this hasn’t happened to me , people who have had their Google Adsense accounts connected to Triond have had them disabled due to suspicious account activity and I believe it. Many writers have left Triond and I have entertained the possibility of stepping out the doorway myself.
There will come a day soon where I will post an article so angry and hate filled towards Triond, that it’s likely to get me banned if Triond doesn’t ship up soon. And if I do disappear from Triond, you’ll know that either I got banned or they finally hit my last nerve where I pull all my content and replace them with dirty limericks, directed towards Triond.
Their “attempts” to clean up the websites are rather in vain for one simple reason. Let’s just put it this way. A website can have quality content but what good is the content when the website itself is broken? Granted the chances of this is slim, but if every single person posted nothing but flawless, perfect, quality content and the website was still busted, still had problems, still put articles in the wrong place despite the wishes of the users, I can go on and on, then the website still is bad regardless of how good the actual writing is.
You know this place still pays and there are still some good people who trying to put out quality content. That’s about the only two good things going for Triond at this moment. It’s pretty bad when you can set your watch by the site outages. I don’t want to say this website’s on its death bed, but the severity of its condition cannot be understated.
On a bright note, I got my badge for last month for the September 2011 contest. So that’s really good. I doubt I’m going to make that much money ever again. I’m still standing despite it all, no matter how many times Triond keeps shooting out my kneecaps.
On the bright side, I’m getting close to getting my third payout on Experts Column. And my Smackdown Spoilers get put in the right place every week there. If you want a good writing website that pays money and gets decent views even with little promotion, then check out Experts Column.

Congratulations on earning your new badge! Thank you for addressing these issues. It was so frustrating yesterday to submit anything. I thought there was something seriously wrong with my computer. I even wrote an article and labeled it triond thumnail feature disabled and tried to submit it but it didn’t let me. And yes, gateway errors all morning again today.
Too many technical issues on here. Hopefully, management will resolve ASAP.

It is most frustrating to say the least, when we are unable to navigate this site…

I noticed the absence of many posts in the weekend. On Sunday I had troubles myself and I had to wait until today because the site just wasn’t working properly.

It took me 24 hours before I could publish again!

Hopefully, the glitches will get fixed. Triond definitely has some technical issues. They really need to hire a dedicated staff.

I like to use hubpages to publish articles as the page layout is better and your work gets more views, however since I have just had my adsense account disabled (which they do not state why? and that there is no way of reversing the decision) so now I feel as if I should Unpublish work on sites that use adsense and paste them straight on Triond as at least they can still earn a little money, has any body else got any good suggestions?

I’m not a computer savvy so I just took for granted that I did not have to worry: that the problems would just heal themselves. Like you I’m frustrated using the thumbnails image. Also, for a while I thought my article was deleted because i lost it while navigating; it then turned itself out after a day.

We can only hope Triond solves these issues soon.

Websites must not have broken links, this not only reduces traffic but gives a negative image of the ones working on it. Triond must understand this fact that what lies behind Triond is not only the hard work of its management but the reputation of its writers too!

I had problems loading thumbnails on Sunday and even tried to load my own to no avail. It was fine by the next morning. I think we just need to have a bit more patience with the site. I have been on it for three and a half years now and most of the time there are no problems.

I’m sure, triond can overcome all the problems they faced today, great share

Ah, so I wasn’t the only person who was suffering from this problem on Sunday – it was driving me crazy! Of course, the problem wasn’t so much that the images wouldn’t load – it was that the system wouldn’t allow the submission of an article without an image, making it completely impossible to publish anything at all.

Arrgh, can’t submit a draft as the thumbnails are not loading.
