Triond, The Good, The Bad & The Awful

Triond. The thing that brings us all together. It has same bad things and some awful things but it also has some good things. Things, hmm…. I’m starting to think I say that too much!

Ok, we have to start somewhere, the bad stuff. Articles aren’t checked before being published. If I just published an article called ‘ Blue ‘ and said in it ’sky is the blew.’ It would more than likely be published. There is no spelling mistakes because blew is a word so there is nothing wrong with it. This is one thing the Triond team need to fix.

Next, the bad quality content. I don’t mean bad spelling and stuff but just short, stupid posts about nothing in paticular which are only ruinig the site. Also, porn and other articles that aren’t suitable. I do like the new flag button but we’ll get to it’s problems later. For now, I think Triond needs to clean up the site a bit themselves instead of getting us to do it.

Monthly Specials. I know I’m new but I read the old posts about the monthly specials and they were actually helping improve the quality or boost the quantity of articles which would help both writers and the Triond team. This months Special is not right at all. We have to flag other peoples content. 15 articles. That is not a good idea at all. So far I flagged one article which I thought was in the wrong category. It’s just not right. All this special has done is got rid of all the good writers.

Right, let’s get to the awful. Honestly, all of the above! We just don’t have enough views because theres too much bad quality content on the site. Triond needs to do something and it needs to do it fast or it’s going to be goodbye to all it’s members.

On a better note, let’s finish off with the good. The community of writers on Triond are all so nice and helpful. I haven’t run into one person on this site that wasn’t nice. It’s amazing how friendly people are. They aren’t competitive but they all help eachother out. This is definitely one of my favourite things about the site.

There is a huge amount of people out there to view your content. It will take a while to get a lot of fans and views but it is not impossible. I am sure everyone who’s been on here more than a day has run into one of the experienced writers who gets or got a few hundred views a day. We’ll get there one day. We will!

Thanks for reading and please comment, like and add me as a friend. Thanks.

Well said. Triond has a lot of problems, but hopefully the flag button, even though not positive entirely, will make a little difference in content on this site. This August challenge for me, however, has surely pushed me into smashing horrible quality and plagiarised articles a lot.

I’ll have to say, as Wherner said, that Triond has way too many problems, but the flag button probably won’t fix them all. I’ve flagged one article recently because it was just a copy paste of their dashboard and that was really it. The worst part about it is that someone didn’t even check the grammar before they submitted it; it looked like they put it in a translator, and didn’t even look to see what it said. There was no point to it, so I flagged it as insufficient quality. Otherwise I don’t flag ever, unless I find articles like that.

No mean writers here at Triond? Go to the forum and you will find many of them living there.
