Who’s Here?
Some time ago, I published an article called Triond Roll Call. It was something of an experiment; an attempt to create a useable tool for Trionders to network with. Networking is an important part of publishing at this level; not so much in the vein of profit… even the most popular Trionder will make just pennies if the only traffic they recieve is from within the walls of Triond.
The networking and interaction we do here serves other purposes. One, it gives us a live target to bounce our writing off of. I’m not talking about pointless ‘nice article’ comments, but genuine feedback. The kind that helps us to improve at what we’re all trying to do here. But more importantly, it provides a social mecca in which we can congregate with writers from across the globe. Writers are a different breed… we think differently, we see the world differently. For us, life is in the narrative.
The problem with finding friends woth common interests here is that there are 150,000+ registered members at Triond, and a good number of them aren’t active and haven’t been for some time. Writing is time consuming… and promoting moreso. That doesn’t leave much time for the tedious task of searching for friends.
So, while the first experiment was moderately successful, we will try to build upon it. This article won’t be promoted outside of Triond… It is to be a tool of Trionders, used here. I am going to pm the entire text of the article to as many Trionders as I can, and post it in the forum. What we did for the first one was use the comment section as a place for active Trionders to put a small blurb about themselves… what type of writing they do and such. There’s nothing else in this article; the only reason to click it is to leave a blurb about yourself. The results will be posted in the forum, and provided to new members as they show up. Once it has had a chance to gather little bios, I will resend it to all of the people within as well.
I will undoubtably hear a number of people criticizing me for all of the money I’m going to make off of this. If you know anything about Triond, you’ll realize that if it’s successful, this thing will get several hundred views. I’ll make less than a quarter.
So give it a try if you’d like, and as I said, scan the list for potential common interests. Don’t just add everyone (some slacker would undoubtably have tried) because you’re defeating the purpose. So let’s hear it… Who’s out there?

I am spirit. I am me.
Triond Dark Faerie Queen. I feel the need to dispel my darkness by giving it to you. Here, take it please. And this time, dont give it back. I flitter my wings, i love you to death and I run away into the night. I love like I breathe, I love like fire…too bad for the loved. I love poetry, long walks in the woods with the big bad wolf and teaching bad little boys to spit out their gum. I love men and women as well. (slightly partial to men) I am spiritual but that is my business and none of yours. i will keep it to myself and you should to. It is, after all a personal thing. sorry, I felt like writing a book. I am in a mood.

Bo Jack Russo here. I write to make people laugh. I write to make people think. I write to tell people the truth. I write because I have an unbridled passion for American sports. I write because it gets all the stuff out of my head. I write because I’m a poet at heart and a lecturer in my mind. Other than that I probably suck. I write a blog with sports and nonsense. I write more in the forum than anywhere else. I want to quit every single day but I can’t stop. I write because it’s one of the very few things I don’t suck at sometimes. Yeah, what he said. Visit my profile if you want. Mnofdichotomy is a class act and don’t you forget it!! Bo out

A.T. Johnson here. I like to write how to articles that help other people. The good thing about this type of article is that people search it because they want to find out how to do it and so you get more views than some other articles.

Athena Goodlight, as a writer, has multiple personalities who mainly writes about DIY, household tips, How-to articles, children, education, pets, self-improvement, cooking… mainly wholesome and eclectic stuff…Quite a friendly commenting character here, too, who tries to catch up with comments regularly.
Note: When you add Athena, leave me message so she can add you back. See you around Triond.

I am a mid-fifties (Oh how thathurts to admit) story teller whose preferred medium is the short story. I like action, adventure, suspense, with some occassional horror and just unusual tossed in for good measure. I am a regular participant in Duff’s challenges and have met some very nice friends here who seem to enjoy my stuff. Looking forward to meeting and sharing with more folks from all over Triond’s world. Peace out.

I’m a good ole Kentucky boy who likes to write poetry in my spare time. I tend to look at the humorous side of things as my poems reflect. I’ve been with triond for a little over a year now, and i don’t promote my work anywhere else. Golf is my number one hobby, and poetry my second. I’ve met a lot of wonderful people on triond whom i consider my friends.

I’m a Kiwi..livin’ in Australia..the sun shines most days and the horizons seem limitless..I’m an optimist..it’s what I love about Australians..it’s in their nature too. I write about Australian folklore..it is rich..full of larger-than-life-characters. Folklore is a body of legends..tales..like much of the later folklore of North America, that of the non-Aboriginal Australians grew out of a harsh environment, separated by great distances from the lands from which the first settlers (mostly British and Irish) came. There is a touch of the heroic about many aspects of Australia’s past and if folklore romaticises much of it..it is no bad thing.

I’m active, but all i get is ‘nice work’ all the time. I figure my work could be complete crap and people would still say ‘good job’. Not that I’m complaining, but I do need constructive criticism or I’m not going to see my work in print…

I write mostly about pets and animals but also enjoy writting thought provoking debate type things. I have pictures animal lovers might enjoy looking at.
I am in Canada, I work but also maintain a small hobby farm with some unusual pets, including hair sheep.

Washington state gal here. Aged 43 with 3 beautiful kids.
After over 14 years as a freelance web developer, I decided to stretch my skills to encompass freelance writing. I’ve had some mild success at writing web tech, social media and various sexuality articles.
With a bit of encouragement from peers, I’ve decided to go back to school (albeit, online) to attain an AA in Mass Media & Journalism.

I try to write articles that (hopefully) provide useful facts and information. I have written about candy, food nutrition, and odd news stories that fly under the radar. My future articles will include more of the same plus a few articles about movies and a series on collectable video games.

17 year old girl here from England. I use Triond more as a portfolio than an actually earning tool. Hate people begging me for views and if I wish to view an article, I will and I love comments both giving and receiving. I write about anything and everything under the sun – if you take a look at my profile then you will see that I have articles on each of Triond’s sister sites.
That’s me!

I am a 21 year old college student from the good ol’ Midwest, U.S. I am a Pandeist and a Libertarian. I write mainly about philosophy from Political philosophy to Metaphysical philosophy. Most of my articles, thus far, are about politics in America.

Hey all Anita here. I love to write because I love to learn. I truely believe we should learn something new everyday. I also think we should laugh every chance we get, so sometimes I’m goofy and write silly things and if I’m the only one entertained, that’s ok. I write my serious poerty when things get suck in my head and it’s the only way I can get them out. I am a very pround Cape Bretoner, in my eyes this is the most beautiful place. I guess all we can ask for is to love where we are, have the ability to make ourselves laugh, and be fortunate enough to have a creative outlet.

I write poetry because it is my calling from God.
I write children’s books for my calling as well.
I write articles on triond, hubpages and Helium to better my writing, for readers, to make money, and to chat with other writers.
I love to write, read, and enjoy life.
I have published two books: “Glory to God,” and “The Gift of Prayer.”
Thanks for the article; good idea.

Minnesota is where I hail from. Lived here all my life and still hate the cold winters. I write mostly poetry, both rhyme and free verse, but also have a few articles of either a spiritual or personal nature. I’ve only been on Triond a few months but enjoy the community atmosphere I’ve found here and the variety of talent from around the globe. I read others when I can but find I can’t keep up with everyone’s writing as much as I’d like too.
November 6th, 2009 at 8:45 pm
I’m N. I live east of Katie Marie in Wisconsin. I hate winter too. I wrote a loving poem for my warm parka.
I write when I am moved to do so. Therefore I have little published because I just can’t force it.
There are times when the writing bites and claws at the inside of my skull and demands release. Then it comes out and you all get to read it if you are inclined to do so.

I’m a career writer and have been writing for Triond for years. At the moment I’ve taken some time off Triond to promote the first of my four self-help books.
Details of what I’m doing can be found on my blogs. I’ve linked up to where I can be found on my Triond’s profile page.
Thanks, Mnofdichotomy.

Thanks for the roll call. Life is always fun if there’s something written about it. It is even more awe inspiring where fellow writers come to regard each other’s work.

I would like to fight my own clone and have always wondered what it would be like to be struck by lightning. I write short stories of a stupid nature. It has been shown scientifically that reading my articles makes a person permanently dumber. For this reason alone my work is banned in the country of Nauru. I have also been banned from at least one popular Sydney restaurant, but that was because I buttered my dinner roll with my own ear wax. I wasn’t going to eat it – I just wanted to see if it were possible (it is). I would also like to one day make a double scale statue of myself made from my own snot..

Hi, My name is Peggy and I live in Colorado. Creative writing is my love, I write short stories and fiction. I just finished my first novel, and it will be available soon (as in after 11/20) and that is why I have not been around much lately. I write from the heart, and much of what I write is dark. I love horror, offbeat things. Stephen King is a favorite….I have given a try at poetry and every now and then I do something that I can say I am proud of, but mostly, essays, short stories, and novels are where my head is at right now.

The name is Denis and I own a small media company Chasov Media, Inc. Over the past year we’ve been expanding into content writing and are beginning to build a solid presence on many writing sites such as Triond, Bukisa, eHow, AC and many others. I also run a professional blog chasovblog.com that I post to now and then. Since I am very busy with many different projects so the blog is not updated as much as it once used to. Some of my goals are to publish over 20,000 professional and informative articles on each of the writing sites and create a nice portfolio of other media content. I have a small staff of writers and everything that is published online is published directly under my name. Thank you and good luck to all the writers and media creators.

Hi, I come from the north of England, but now live in the Midlands. I’ve been writing web content and developing websites for nearly a decade, but ionly recently started using triond to publish directly, in between writing novels and short stories.
I tend towards the self help and alternative therapies side of life, and my writing reflects that. I also do the occassional social commentary or off beat news piece, and as a florist, am interested in most crafts.

Hello, my name is Allen and will probably be changing to a better pen name if I get back actively writing. You can call me Dixie most of my friends do and I answer to it regardless of my screen name or whatever. I love humor, horror and the unique. I am really into foreign films of all types. I work in the medical field and was once fired for a article published on Triond (another reason for a pen name.) I dabble when I write, my heart is for horror, psycological stories but I just have a hard time finishing them. I want to move more toward movie reviews and some topics related to horror actors, horror movies and other odd stuff. Peace
