As writers we improve with each passing day. Our desire to educate, inform and entertain can not be stopped by anything. I have made many friends through reading and writing than I would have managed through any other social activity. Welcome to this week’s Triond Online writers’ awards, showcasing the beauty of writing on Triond.

Triond online writers’ awards enter their third month today. Let us continue writing, reading and commenting on each other’s work so that Triond may grow into the kind of site everyone dreams of being part of. The following are the awardees of the week for outstanding performance.

  1. Best poem of the week – ‘My bottled feelings’ by TommyP and published on Authspot on 2nd of September 2010.
  2. Young writer of the week – eezior for various articles throughout the week but especially Outcasts of the society, how should we treat them? Published on Socyberty on 1st September 2010.
  3. General entry for the week – ‘Tips to improve memory naturally’ written by Jewelstar and published on Healthmad on the 27th of August 2010.
  4. Best health article – ‘Helpful herbs for glaucoma’ written by Giftarist and published on Healthmad on August 27th 2010.
  5. Lesson for the week – It has to be ‘Tips to improve memory naturally’ written by Jewelstar and published on Healthmad on the 27th of August 2010 again.
  6. Parenting article of the week – Believe it or not, it has to be Psingh90 for ‘Pain relief during childbirth’ published on Authspot on 30th August 2010. Anything that can ease the pain of childbirth would be welcome any day.
  7. Pet entry of the week – B Nelson again with ‘How to train a dog to walk nicely without pulling’ published on The Real Owner on 29th of August 2010 comes top.
  8. Hot content post for the week – ‘Quick fixes in the kitchen’ written by Ruby Hawk and published on Gomestic on the 30th of August 2010.
  9. Business post for the week – ‘Preparing a resume: Your life depends on this piece of paper’ by Raj the Tora published on 1st September 2010 on Bizcovering.
  10. Scientific award – Raj the Tora’s ‘Are Tortoises really sluggish?’ published on Scienceray on 27th August 2010.
  11. Humorous entry award – Haiku – Shake Here and Shake there by Starpisces published on Authspot on 31st of August 2010. Am still laughing to this minute.
  12. Best friend for the week – It has to be Jenny Heart. I really appreciate her help in popularizing The Writers’ Facebook. Read her article Facebook and my yearbook social networking sites: How their games can lead to lots of fun or compulsive addictions published on Gameolosophy on 29th of August 2010.
  13. Advice for writers – 20 online writing sites that pay for content by Athlyn Green. This amazing list was published on Writinghood on August 29th 2010.
  14. Editor’s honorable mention – ‘Are boys turning into girls because of man-made chemicals?’ written by dak. This amazing article was published on 1st September 2010 on Scienceray.
  15. Lifetime achievement award – Raj the Tora for various significant posts published on Scienceray, especially ‘Are Tortoises really sluggish?’
