It isn’t every day that you can find a community so tight knit when it comes to a good cause.
You know, we may get paid pennies on Triond, but when a need arises, the Triond Community has always been there for me to support me in helping others.
Our beloved Kristina Piner passed away, leaving behind three children, one of which needs to return to Basic Training tomorrow. I have a long drive ahead of me. Ten hours of travel to South Carolina and back home again. ROAD TRIP! The other two children have been uprooted from their home and taken to Arizona to live with their grandfather.
It never amazes me how people who don’t even know me personally are willing to help me raise money to give to Kris’s two little boys whom are now left without their mother, but are indeed loved by compassionate people.
In my post “Cancer Strikes Again” I reached out to the Triond Community again for help. I would like to give my Triond earnings to Kris’s two boys. Not that it will be a lot but I’m looking to reach at least $100.00 to send to them. $16.00 is what I had in my account at the time I wrote this article and imagine my surprise when I logged in to my Triond account today to see:

This community truly amazes me. Only $73.75 left to go. Thank you, thank you, thank you and God Bless to you all! I have met a lot of wonderful people on Triond and I truly appreciate every single one of you.
In Loving Memory of Kristina M. Piner. We love you and you will be missed! Gone but not forgotten!

So sad and at such a young age, as that’s only four years younger than I am. It’s got to be hard for them to lose a mother when they are so young themselves. I lost mine 11 years ago, but I was lucky to have her for about 33 years. You sound like such a great friend and her children are lucky to have you in their lives.
