Tribute to My Writing Influences

I have always enjoyed authoring journalism pieces and poetry I pick up a lot of habits from some of my favorite authors. From various linguistic techniques to vocabulary itself, most of the writing techniques I learned from observing others who are prominent in the field of authoring.

I consider those I learned from to be my personal teachers.

I write this article as a tribute to all the journalistic and poetic greats I have learned from over the years. I hope that in my writing of this piece I do them justice. I know tributes are not always sufficient but sometimes it’s all we can do to show our appreciation to those who’ve influenced us.

I do not consider myself that great of an author personally, but I am thankful for my opportunities to write.    As  I continue to grow as an author it is my hope that I can put a smile on my mentors faces.
