Tips on Writing Anything (Books, Poetry, Plays, Etc.)

Authors are very creative people, they don’t have to really in joy writing although if you really want to write then it is and will all ways be your greatest aid in it, both in sticking to a piece and then get it out in to the public. Another one of your greatest help will be carrying around a writing book and a pen/pencil. I myself carry around a composition notebook with me, with a pen tucked inside the cover of it. Another great help would be looking at things that inspire you to write weather it be a specific spot, a painting, or anything else. Also visiting the type of area that you write in gives you a very good understanding of what your talking about. Also reading the same type of thing that you want to write is a good place to start. Then once you start on a piece, then try for as long as you can stick to it.

After a while you will find an idea that you will have to stick with or else you will have a very longing desire to write about it. So what can you do? Well you write (wow imagine that lol.) Then when and if you finish the piece that you are working on you will have to get people to read it. This is one of the hardest parts for author’s no matter how much they would not like to admit it. So find two, or three good friends who will not copy it and show any one they ever see again for the next year, and show it to them. Tell them to be as honest as they can. And once they tell you what you think (I advise you write it down) then you never talk to them about it again. See if they bring it up again, if they do then find more friends, and get there option of the piece. If they like it too then you get to the really fun part. You get to go and try to find a publisher who will not just through it away. Then if you get approval from them, Then kudos to you, you made it farther then 99% of authors ever! get. No matter how many pieces you write for them. Now talk with the publisher and see if the two of you can draw up a contract, find out how much money you want and how much they are willing to give for your book. Then from there it almost all out of your hands and in to the publisher. So almost all you have to do now is a few more meetings with the publisher and you cross you fingers and hope that it sells and you will become the next best-selling author.
