How I am hoping that a little notepad just may help me to find the time to write. I miss the time I use to have to write, and when I have the time, my mind is in overdrive and I cannot focus on one idea.

Sometimes it seems we have all the time in the world to write, but we struggle with a mental block, or writer’s block; for me there is so much to write about but not enough time to get to my computer. The times that I am able to get to my computer my mind is overwhelmed with ideas that they seem to all run together.
As a business owner who had to take on a job, it has been crazy for me and difficult to relax enough to write until I purchased a little note pad.
Within that note pad I keep a running list of ideas, and as the idea materializes into facts and other ideas; I write them down. When I do it this way I am able to keep the different ideas separated, then when I get the chance I sit down and put together an article.

I enjoy writing and I do miss it, it was and still continues to be my way to relax, get my feeling out there, and to give pointers to people about what is going on in the world. I have made a lot of friends on Triond.com, who inspire me, and give me information about other parts of the world or other important matters.
On the rare occasions that I do get my family and friends to read my work they are amazed by the thing I know about, and how well I can explain them on paper. Usually when I am engaged in a conversation with too much going on around me, my thoughts are unclear and my points don’t get across as well as I would like them to, so my articles appear much more logical to them.
To all my friends out there, I hope to find a happy medium to relax and write, while I continue working independently as well as with my new employers. The world has sure changed in the last twenty years, and being a cashier now, is so very different, than I can remember.

Perfect article for writers and artists alike. I do the same. Sketches are critical….like an outline of what you want to convey to the reader. I find your work very informative and inspiring. This article reads very fluid and definitely a help for amateur writers like myself. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and process.

Good luck with your notepad. I would hate to miss your posts. I always carry around a voice operated mini-casette recorder.

I always keep a notepad by the bed because I often wake up at night with something to write. It is a good idea. I hope you are enjoying the job. Good work.

Elizabeth,
This is a great Idea. I’ve carried a notepad around with me for years. Now I carry a briefcase of different projects around with me. But I still carry my notepad for times when I can’t take my briefcase with me. Its when I don’t have my notepad and/or my briefcase that I will get a hundred Ideas flying at me all at once, and have no way to write them all down. A notepad is not only a good Idea, but it can be a real life saver. Love your article. Keep up the great work.

You can write only when you are inspired. All writers experience mental blocks. Your article, as usual, is informative and a source of encouragement to others. Thanks. for sharing.
