The Joys of Writing at Expertscolumn

I would like to challenge Triond’s page views vis-a-vis ExpertsColumn’s. And I bet Triond has declined…miserably. Why Triond has declined can be attributed to the same greed Wikinut has run its site.

I’d like to write about my beautiful experience at ExpertsColumn.

The Right Direction I Found At Last

I had been initially hesitant, even sceptical, at the outset, when my friend, a columnist here, Savaswriter (also, a Wikinut writer, and I don’t know if he still regards himself as such there) invited me to write for ExpertsColumn.  Maybe he sensed my increasing unhappiness over the site I had  immersed my soul in writing for a time that almost spanned a year.

I must admit I had the propensity to rant and rave if a writing site to which I dedicated my time and effort as did every one else I knew,  did not get my due return for investment.  As everyone knows by now,   that site is Wikinut.  Talk about nuts.

A Nut And An Expert

A nut and an expert are disparate concepts but now must go together — in me, though admittedly  I’m more the former than the latter, literally speaking.  To cut the story short, I registered with ExpertsColumn on January 25, 2012, and I dilly dallied on taking the plunge by surveying the new environment as I was rocking the boat at Wikinut.

Enough Is Enough

So on May 8,  slowly but surely I started bookmarking all I had published on Wikinut, leaving only those unique to it,  and re-publishing them on ExpertsColumn.  It felt like moving into a new home, which it did, of course, for I had to feel my way around, where the interface and formatting I had to learn by trial and error.  But it wasn’t really a tall order.  In fact, everything is quite simple, no, very simple.

Eureka!

No sooner had I re-posted my Wiki articles here than I noticed a pulse beating very fast.  The views kept coming in like a tsunami, even without clicking Google+1, StumbleUpon, Digg, Newsvine, etc which I usually did with my articles at Wikinut.  And the earnings began to build up fast!  Imagine earning your first dollar so early in the game where a pound it will take you months to gain at Wikinut!  I no longer cease to wonder, then, why most writers skipped Wikinut for ExpertsColumn.

It’s easy to post your content here.  The site is strictly moderated.  In fact, I’ve already come to know Jack Wilkinson, one of 2 moderators, the other being Sharon L. West.  Most of us know Jack, he’s one of Wikinut wizard authors of Wikinut (look here:   http://www.wikinut.com/author~xlkeh/wjack2010/)  More or less, Jack can sympathize with former Wikinut authors who pack their bags and move over here.

But if your don’t mind, Jack, I wish to commend the Wikinut moderators, Mark Gordon Brown, JohnnyDod, Steve Kinsman, and Peter B. Giblett for the great job they’re doing over there.

Except the Chief Nut, which is just as well because he is the catalyst for other writers there to move to ExpertsColumn.

At Triond?  Look at your dwindling page views.  Don’t tell me you find that a better website, either.  Phooey!
