The Importance of Writing and Other Arts

This is my first article and to be honest I put very little thought into it! Do not worry though, the reason why I did not put much thought into it is because of how obviously important it is. This article is about the importance of writing and the arts. I have realised that people, especially the younger generation, are not keen on the arts. Either they think it is not cool or maybe they are just shy but in general, they do not want to express themselves. It was that way for me in school. None of the other kids took literature as seriously as I did and in a way, I did not fit in. But I loved it! It was an escape route for me whenever I was sad or stressed,I would write and let all the stress go. So, in short I would like to encourage everyone out there to promote the arts and writing to all the young people out there. Who knows, they just might end up liking it and in the end it will be cool to have a role in a play rather than just play in the football team!
