Writing and some friendly advice.
The heart of a writer will never stop beating as long as the imagination of the writer continues thinking. Only a true writer has the undying passion to write-whether he/she writes about Poetry, Mystery, Western, Horror, Romance, Drama, Newspaper Columns, etc. The thought of a great article or Story could come at any given time day or night, and whenever we get ‘the thought’ we immediately have to write it down or we could lose that thought forever. The writer’s words are that individual’s Voice. It’s the way that we ‘talk’ to our readers to keep them interested.
Now, on to another subject for a moment. Even though some writers stop writing for some reason or another ‘as I have’ and the last book I had been working on remained on hold for longer than six years now… but I’ve picked up right where I left off. I mean, sure I had to reread all eleven chapters to continue the story, but I did it, and if I was able to do it,you can do it too! So as long as you have the heart of a writer, keep on writing and don’t let anything or anyone stop you! Though, However, you will find with work you did long ago, you will probably need to do some-or a lot- of editing. So, before submitting to a publisher, make sure you go over it and make necessary changes or even make what ever it is you’ve written sound better.
To many people, those who are able to write any of the above think it’s a gift. But I think that anyone can write so long as they put their minds to it-just like riding a bicycle. Don’t get me wrong though. Writing a story of any kind takes a lot of time and a lot of patience, and you have to make your characters come alive with thought patterns and lifestyles, a good plot and a good ending.
There is often one major problem with writing, and that problem is the blank page of paper or computer screen. writer’s block is often enough to hold you back for either minutes, hours or even days.
