Sometimes it’s the little thing that will inspire you to write.
There are days when I am anxious to write, but I just can’t seem to reach into my soul and pull out anything. I sit there with my hand rubbing my forehead and the pressure continues to build, but I still come up empty. Completely blocked and staring at a blank sheet of paper struggling to come up with some sort of idea. Has that ever happened to you?
Then I close the notebook and push the pen aside and relax my brain, until something inspires me. If I force myself to write an article I find that the article doesn’t produce the result that I had hoped for.
Yesterday while I was watching a program on the television ,one of the characters was wearing this tee-shirt that said, “Life is Blood, Sweat and tears”, it was at that moment I became inspired to write something using that particular phrase. It may not be an awarding winning write, but it did prompt me to write.
The times you decide you want to write may not always be the right time, relax and let it come naturally. Writing is not easy and in spite of how passionate you are about writing the ink pen does run dry sometimes.
Here is what I created from the phrase I saw on the tee-shirt:
Life is blood, sweat and tears,
knowing how to control your
emotions, and knowing how to
conquer your biggest fears
Life is open doors, closed
doors and revolving doors,
reaching for your dreams
and claiming your rewards.
Life begins, but life
doesn’t last forever,
life also has an end.
Then life will repeat itself
all over again.

Inspiration comes in likely places. The harder you think about it, the more you can’t think… Better let it go for awhile and surprisingly it will come out like the piece you’ve written- very true and having a good flow… inspiring too. Thanks for this post, a reminder that we writers have the same probs most of the time lol

I do not Edit or waste T as I do most my writing for one reason relaxation.

Really enjoyed reading this. You are so right, just letting the ideas flow is much easier, and if they don’t, they don’t. Good article and a wonderful poem to go with it.

Good ideas come when you least expect them. I have gotten out of bed umteen times to write down an idea to work on later.
then that idea will not let me go back to bed. If I try to force it I just end up saying to heck with it.
This is good stuff.

That was well expressed. You are right, things will unfold well if you let it that way. I don’t write at all, I just play with words, lol.

Sometimes an idea will strike me just as I go to bed and I have to get up and write it all down so I don’t forget it.

you can draw inspiration from anything and everything!
March 8th, 2010 at 8:58 am
Me too, I just cannot produce any article, but at times I just write something, I don’t take it too hard, as I take this as my hobby. However, I really appreciate my friends here for accepting them and give me all the confidence to write more.
Keep writing, whenever you have the inspiration. We need not write anything great, but write something from our hearts..

Great writing. I hate staring at the blank sheet and sometimes have to walk away for a while. Often when I come back I am freshly inspired.

I don’t force the issue when I write. I start off with keywords and construct things out of those words. I promise myself each time that I will write only a short article to keep up with my target number of articles. I realize later, however, that I was carried away and wrote more than I wanted. I do have different moods in writing. Sometimes I’m inspired and get to write without much fuss. I also “need” to write technical articles in my field. I write poems when I find it awkward to express feelings that bog me. Well, it’s great to be full of ideas, but not enough time to write them all. Nice topic that made me think and write this comment. You can get ideas from anything you encounter. Hmm, I got another one coming…

ur idea gives birth to so many comments
now read each comment and compose a poem or writing as u please
u can produce a gr8 deal of ideas
good luck
see how many read ur birth ideas
not half as many read mine
i read and get inspired too
March 11th, 2010 at 5:17 pm
ur version of life is more beautiful than the birth of an idea
just now i saw a lady push a pram with two kids facing inopposite directions perhaps a years age difference
an idea came to my mind
twins one year apart
now see a new idea has been born .
all writers copy read and observe and then write.
. i last week read seven books on a holiday of a week and now i am bursting and u know where
