Some of us are new article writers and some others are experienced writers. Almost everyone in Triond could describe a lot of benefits we could get by becoming a writers. However, one thing that both newbie and experienced writers have in common are the fact that no one could guess what writing articles would be good for.

Therefore, I am confident that this list is incomplete, but I am going to mention several reasons I could think of at this moment.

Money

Of course this would probably the first thing that come to mind when we are asked why we want to write something in Triond. This is something very natural and it is not just because Triond is a website that pay us for writing something. Currency is one of the historical reasons for why human used writing language. By inventing symbols to write down what they have in mind, people started to make note for both how much they owe the other and how much the other owe them.

Knowledge

From my own personal experience, I could say that the knowledge I have about certain subject would increase every time I write something about that particular subject. By writing things down I could see clearly what other things I should research to complete the learning process.

Moreover writing about a subject usually motivate us to do more research about the particular subject. For example when I wrote about sushi themed products, I search all over the internet for interesting sushi themed products. Later I also found several websites that any sushi fans should see. Consequently, I learned more about sushi and I gained more knowledge about sushi.

Problem Solving

I have met people with mathematic skill several magnitude above me. However I never observe any of them solving a sufficiently complex problem without writing something down. Of course there are people who could solve seemingly complex arithmetic problems without the need to write anything. But when it comes to professional mathematic, such arithmetics are just the tip of the iceberg.

Most problem solving process would involve writing down facts related to the problem. After the facts were listed black on white, several solutions could be proposed and written down as well. Writing down possible solution would later help analyzing each solution and determining which solution is the best.

Recognition

You are probably an expert either engineering, business or education. You would need more people to know what things you are good at if you want to get more opportunities. But how people who never know or heard about you could possibly understand what your skills are? There is probably no better way to do that than writing down some articles about your field of expertise. You would probably need to write something about how your field of expertise could possibly help the other.

Memories

There are indeed mind grandmasters who could memorize everything within their brain. But for most of us, our keyboards are sharper than our minds. By writing down what we know, there is less chance we are going to lose our knowledge. Even after we died, the later generation is going to to inherit our written knowledge and memories.

Stories

If we are lucky, on day we are going to be older than most people around us. That is the time when we are going to tell stories to our younger family members. Evolution had done a good job selecting species whose elderly are eager to share their experience and their young are eager to learn from those experience. You are going to find those shiny eyes looking at you waiting for your stories. Those shiny eyes are wondering about what this ancient and wise being had already experienced.

In that situation you may not want to look like an ancient broken tape repeating the same boring stories over and over. Writing could motivate you to do research and research is a really good way to expand your knowledge. Having wide range of knowledge means that you have a lot of stories to tell to both your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
