The art of creative writing, an encouragement for a writer.
Being an artist is one of the things that some people have out grown, not that they did not want to be creative but they have been made shy when creativity demands craftsmenship. But here is the fun of being an artist whether you are a writer, sculptor, singer to mention a few, you have to find a medium that works for you. When an artist chooses the right medium he or she will be able to express his/her images in a lively maner. Theideas conceived can be clearly envisioned in a daramtic way and the outcome will be a masterpiece. I am a fine artist and there times that I have to sketch my drawings from one medium to another. If I want opaqueness I will not go wrong with water colors but if I want fluff clouds overlaid and heavy with paint I will choose oils. I am pretty comfortable with these mediums but there are some creative moments that I had to put all my effort to sculpt an idea and the sculpture will speak great volumes beyond my imagination.
It is exciting that when we come to creativity in wrinting words are the most valuable tool that we have, they are like clay, paint or soapstone. You can mould words, squash them and smash them on paper like an artist on canvas. Words are beautiful and fun to work with, you can openly say what you want and sometimes you are able to say what you are not saying in very subtle ways that only those that will read between the lines will get it and that what makes a masterpiece It takes time to analayze it. Saying it plain is good when it is a technical writing project but when the rubber hits the road and you want a writer to bake creativity then we have to shift gears. You can not be able to do away with knowing your palette of words and genre. Great craftmen will take an extra mile not only to practice but to daily feed their passion by doing whatever it takes to improve their skills and when they do they stand out of the crowd because no one else has their hand or voice it is uniquely their own. That’s what I think every creative person should do, being so good in your choice of creativity that noone will dare to try to duplicate you because you would have put in your work your own fingerprints.
