“Thanks for Sharing”

A rant of mine about some of the users on triond.

I really hate the lines

“Thanks for sharing”

I really hate the lines

“Nice Share”

I do it myself once in a while

But for the most part I do read others works

We all put so much effort into our works

Is it not worth to read what all of us write when commenting each other’s pages

Is it not worth the blood, sweat, tears, and back aches, along with eye strain

I still think all of us should be paid more than mere pennies for views

I have already made 5.10 $ on here so far

And my earnings steadily increase

But as for the topic here itself

I can’t stand when all anyone posts up is “thanks for sharing” or “nice share”

I can let it slide sometimes because sometimes I will do the same thing

What annoys me is people who constantly use these lines

It makes me feel like you aren’t really reading anything I write

I am sure other writers feel the same

I am just admitting it

As I said before if it is done only once in a while I can let it slide

After all I sometimes do the same thing

But if it is all you will say

Don’t even bother to give me your view

You obviously are not reading my work

That is my rant of today

Thanks for your view

And please post something different other than “Nice Share” or “Thanks for sharing”

Of course if you don’t use these phrases often than very well go ahead

This is a groan that appears here from time to time. I wrote something about it at one stage last year. I have learned to live with nice share. Personally, I prefer to not comment if I can’t think of something to say.

I don’t mind receiving the comments “Nice Share” and “Thanks for sharing” once in a while. It is just people who say this on everything that really bugs me.

Last few lines made it really tempting to type “Nice share”, not really, I’m only joking. I have a poor sense of humor. It’s nice to know I am not the only person getting aggravated by “Nice share!”

When I first started it seemed a lot of people were saying “Nice article”, and reading an article earlier about the Arizona massacre all someone posted was “Nice share”. I mean, yeah, sure “nice share”, but really? On an article like that it just doesn’t seem right. Most articles have a point that people want a response to, or an actual compliment/opinion that pertains to their article.

Like Val said, I try not to comment if I don’t have something to say.

I agree with both you and Val. I mean sometimes I will post nice share but that is very rare. I think I am going to strive to be more like you and Val when it comes to commenting other people’s work.

It’s about time someone mentioned this. I do use nice share or something similar when I read sports post. I do not understand about sports at all so I look for the format of the article and how well it flows rather than understanding about sports. You are right when people use it constanly, you know they have not read the article. Great article Erin and I really mean “thanks for this share!\\\”

I understand when you write this on articles about news, sports or random facts. But when it’s a controversial topic or something that deserves attention,it’s kind of strange when you recieve this type of comments

THANKS FOR SHARING AND NICE SHARE! Just kidding but it is really good. I can see how that can be really annoying. These people are lucky you can’t find them. You all know what I mean.

It is really very irritating to see such comments at times when you are expecting your readers’ feedback.

I can understand what you mean, it can be a challenge to leave a comment on everyones work, but at the same time the author wants to know that we at least took the time to read what they have to say.

Jimmy had mentioned on one of his posts that leaving meaningful comments helps with SEO and ranking in the SERPs too!

Yes, I agree, but I did write ‘thanks for sharing’ on the first piece of yours I read but it was a genuine comment as your were sharing insights into your writer’s notebook… I like your style Erin and look forward to reading more.

The ones who dont read the articles, wont see this, so you will continue to see the same comments.

I dont care if their comments are little. I still get the view and comment, but I do so love and appreciate the others thoughtful comments.
