An overview of Bukisa, another popular online writing site.
Social networking can be a real pain in your backside when you are just starting out. Sure, you have hundreds of friends on Facebook or Myspace. But most of your mates don’t write, do they? So you start a whole new network here on Triond. You engage in comments and make friends. And what happens when you want to write for another writing community? Many of us have accounts on sites like Xomba or Bukisa or Associated Content (the examples can be multiplied.) Getting an audience on Bukisa is a lot harder than Triond. Trust me, I should now – I started writing for both sites around the same time. But the beauty of Bukisa is that it allows you to publish previously published material as long as it is yours and it pays over $3 per 1000 unique views. It should be a piece of cake to make money, but unfortunately as I mentioned, getting views is harder since people are a lot more into how-to-pieces and the minimum amount for cashout is $10. Now, I do have a suggestion. If any of you who wants to sign up for Bukisa, here is the link:
http://www.bukisa.com/join/37762
(And yes, they pay for referrals too)
And for those of you who are already on Bukisa and want to increase their views, make more money and feel a part of the community, my username is the same there: zoeyclark. Granted, Bukisa may not always allow you to publish whatever, but it is a great, albeit slow way to earn money from already published material. So, hope to see you there as well.

I have a Bukisa account, but so far no views and do not know how to find people there. Honestly: I stare get lost there.

I tried to sign up several times on Bukisa but never got thru the registration page. I’m not sure whats wrong with the page. So I signed up for Associated content instead..

I did signed to Bukisa (with different pen name as Triond), cannot get through, and I wrote to the editor, managed to get through. Posted some articles there, however, I don’t have time for Bukisa, also don’t have a “home” feeling there, so I wrote again, to quit, anyway, I forgo my 8 cents. Once I decided to quit, I will quit, though I can just leave it there.

Bukisa is really weird with editing and I have been using Bukisa since late November and I have just reached $1.00. I only like it because well, you do publish old stuff. And only a couple of views may end earning you 0.01 because they pay over 3.00 bucks for 1000 views. Do not gvie up, folks.:)

A good place to re-publish your old articles.

Yep, exactly. It takes a bit of time but it is perfect when you get into writer’s block or just too tired to do something else.

I haven’t tried any new sites since I had problems with AC. I signed with them then I couldn’t get anything to submit. Good article.

I like Bukisa – it seems to have a good following from Google. If I leave Triond and Bukisa dormant for a while – Bukisa gets the most hits and, of course, the most money!!
Liked your blog, Pinar, and will follow you for more good tips etc
Thanks, revivor

I beg to differ. I’m getting a lot of views to my articles at Bukisa. At Bukisa, you need to learn SEO techniques and effective keyword research. Otherwise, you won’t earn much. And I never recommend republishing articles even though it’s allowed at Bukisa. If you have to republish, rewrite a little. Change the title. This way you won’t be sandboxed by search engines for duplicate content.
For beginner Bukisa writers, it might benefit them if they read this article : Reach Bukisa Payment Threshold Writing Only 31 Articles.
