Improve your writing

Shelpeare’s Guide to Triond

Both newbies and more seasoned writers can benefit from this guide to Triond.

Triond is an online publishing site that was created in 2006. If you are a Wikinut user or write for any other site it would do you well to join this site as well. Since sites like Wikinut and Bukisa allow you to publish content that you have already published elsewhere it is advisable to publish your articles on Triond first and then re-publish them on Wikinut etc. Triond only allows you to publish original material so that is why you have to publish there first. The following is Shelpeare’s guide to writing on Triond.

How can you get paid?

Unlike many writing sites you can get paid three different ways with Triond. For those with fully functional Paypal accounts you can get paid via Paypal when your earning reach a minimum of $0.50 US. For those living in countries where Paypal only allows you to send payments and not receive Triond allows you to get paid via Western Union or cheque. The minimum payout is much more however. You earn when readers click the ads placed by Triond on your pages.

Triond’s Advertisers

Triond uses Google Adsense, Chitika ads etc. For more on this see: Who are Triond’s Advertisers? You can choose not to use Google Adsense if you prefer to use Chitika and other ad types. See Why Are So Many Popular Triond Writers Not Using Google Adsense?

Triond’s Sites

Triond is different from other writing sites in that if you write an article on science it will be published on Triond’s other site Scienceray. If it is about society it will be published on Socyberty. For more on this see: Which Triond Partner Sites Get The Most Traffic? This can give your articles greater exposure than if all your articles were ppublished on the same site. However, fear not, on Triond you have a Contents table where and a Portfolio page where you have a listing of all your published articles and a simple click will take you to any one of them. For those more familiar with Triond here is a quiz about its’ sites.

Referral Links

Every Triond writer is given a referral link which is the link that you display in order to sign people up with Triond. Whatever they make Triond gives the referrer ten percent of that. See:

Comments

Every article that is published has a “Comments” section at the bottom of it for readers and fellow writers to say what they think of your article. Your article becomes more popular and subsequently more read when it accumulates a great number of comments as most of Triond’s sites feature the top ten most popular articles on that site. Some Triond writers have hundreds of comments on their articles. See Which Triond Articles Have The Most Comments?

Likes

When readers read your article on Triond, if they like it they may click the “Like” button on your page like on Facebook. For some inspiration see Triond Articles That Have The Most Likes

Triond’s Writer Badges

Triond writers get colourful badges when they reach certain milestones on Triond. They look much better than the ones on Hubpages. For more on this see All About Triond Badges and An Answer to – Why Do Some Triond Writers Hide Their Badges?

Flagging Articles

Triond has a “Flag” button so that readers can “flag” content that is inappropriate. When you see articles that are obscene, ungrammatical or published in the wrong category you can flag it and Triond will look into it. I wrote a caution about this though as this should be done with certain points in mind. See: Be Careful When You Flag Articles.

Triond has a Traffic Geo Distribution Pie Chart that tells you which countries have been reading your articles the most in the past thirty days. The percentages are in descending order. See Shelpeare’s Traffic Geo Distribution Chart.
