Writers Block can effect all of us, but by applying a few simple ideas we can all beat it…
Writer’s block effects the everyday journalist, whether it be from suffering tiredness, lack of motivation, being unable to concentrate or simply not knowing what to write about. Here are some ideas to let you express your creativity…
Take a break, get some fresh air. This will hopefully free your mind and forget about the pressure of producing an article. It will relax you and once you get back to your desk or workstation, you can begin to think freely again.
Read Newspapers, magazines, other content. Reading other writers content can spark an idea in your head. Simply browse through your daily newspaper or favourite magazine and jot down anything that comes to mind on the way. Make sure you keep a notebook handy.
Writers Forums. On many online writing websites, there are forums which readers post on to generate writing ideas. Triond has a very good forum which can help you get an idea for perhaps your next masterpiece.
Popular subjects/trends. For example, if you search Google Trends on the Google search engine it will come up with a link for the most popular searches recently on their website. This can be a very handy tool if your are looking to create a piece to get maximum readership.
Write as many ideas as possible, brainstorm. Simple jot down anything that comes to your head on paper. It can be about anything and everything, at least it will kick start you in the right direction.
Adequate Sleep. Not enough sleep can effect your brain and makes your mind hard to function. If possible, take a quick nap and it will do wonders. It will clear your head and once you get back to start writing, you will feel refreshed.
Watch Television, Listen to Music. Even watching television or listening to music can work in the same way as reading a newspaper or magazine. As you are watching different programs these can spark thoughts in your head which can lead to an idea for your next piece.
Writers block can be very annoying, but with patience, time and applying a few of these ideas, you never know what you could create next.

So true, go for a walk or take a nap, anything to get away from the computer and refresh your mind.

I agree.. Reading others’ content and reading something on the internet or some book or some newspapers, kickstarts the interest to write again.
