Sayings influence our lives in many ways. When used in writing, those sayings can accomplish several things.
Advertising has some great influences on consumers. According to Google, nearly 3,000,000 people search documented saying to use in some form of writing that will catch the eyes of the viewers. Talented people are hired to grab customers attention and connect them with products so they purchase products while remembering the sayings attached for affect. Writers can use these saying to benefit articles, poetry and anything they want to have others read with the familiar sayings mentioned within the writing.
Some compositions use a famous or well known saying for your viewing. Yours can be composed in your writing, however some sites, like Triond, do not permit quotes since that is not original material. With that in mind, the actual quotes will not be used in this article, yet you will be aware of the sayings by the similar words used in those famous sayings. The writing resources of Google and http://www.wikipedia.org are most helpful in seeking sayings for writers.
Can you listen now? has been used by Verizon Wireless to expand the company’s ability to allow connections in a broad area of mobile phone use. That saying, not quoted here, made those words so popular that many people, even if they did not use Verizon, were voicing that saying. There is no credit given to one person for creating that saying, so it might be presumed it was a team effort to compose the catchy phrase. The test man, Paul Marcarelli is a 34 year old actor from New York City whose persona made you pay attention to the voice ad. Written on billboards across America and other part of the cell phone atmosphere has made and is still making this saying a well used one.
Poetry can bring this actual saying into focus for readers with a lite piece of prose.
Can you hear me now?
To the depth of unthinkable pleasure
Go my thoughts of the buried treasure
To the beach to search for pirate gold
A map directing me, I will unfold.
Silently approaching all alone
Oh no, I forgot to turn off my cell phone!
One saying that needs nothing added is a saying from the writings of Jesus in the Bible. Again, it cannot be quoted, since it is not permitted so will be paraphrased. There is no greater love from a man, that he should give his life for his friends. When a person thinks about this in depth, it is one of the greatest messages one can learn from and remember. I know no one who measures up to this saying.
John Keats is the contributing author of many great sayings often used by writers. His words about the thing of beauty being something that is always joyful brings in so many areas of people’s lives. Most writers have seen part of this composition, yet not all of the words. The beginning is the most well known to the multitude of people. Love has been expressed by many writers with the thoughts of this well known collection in mind.
Some sayings have mixed messages within the composition. Dr. Seuss said, without quoting; don’t be sad that it is over, be happy because it happened! Seneca is another whose sayings are well known and often reworded in writing stories, compositions, letters, poetry and articles. His exhortation about true happiness digs deeply into the assortment of directions a person can seek while he ends this saying with being content for what a person has and not what he does not have. Perhaps you have heard grandparents, guardians and positive propelled individuals use this saying using other words. Bible studies have been composed with this saying using its messages for lessons.
Anonymous is listed as the creator of numerous sayings that have shaped lives without credit to the author since that is unknown. Writers state many of these statements without courtesy to the creator, yet have made many valuable contributions with the sayings. All success is constructed on the willingness to do better than just good enough is one paraphrased saying by the unknown person.
Confucius and Chinese proverbs are full of sayings that writers often use either in part or fully in composing articles, songs and stories. You have possibly heard that the man is the head of the household and the wife is the neck that helps the head turn. When first read, this saying sounds laughable, however when fully thought out, the unit is necessary for each to function. Many favorite and well used sayings from Confucius, then placed in different forms of writing material. Parents age is to be known for joy and anxiety is one saying which has been used by journalists for centuries. With great wisdom, Confucius has given the saying that is not possible to teach another who is not able to teach his family. Only part of another of Confucius’ sayings is: to look at the small advantages since they prevent affairs from being accomplished. Pondering this saying might direct one to think a person better look at the big picture and not get side tracked by the pebbles on the path going to the goal.

I often cheat the Triond system by putting the quote in my article description. Sometime I can put them into the body without problems. But I understand how catchy some phrases can be and we interject them into our speech without a second thought. Nicely done.

Great topic, I also collect quotes and sayings. I quote Bible verses in many of my articles. They usually get declined by the automated system, but when I email the editors, they always post it.

Quotes can be very inspiring. The quote from confucious is in the Bible where Apostle Paul relates that a pastor has to first be able to teach and care for, his own family before he can teach any one else. As for quotes in general , I like them because they say so much in few words.
I have even quoted the sayings of some of our Triond writers whose wisdom should be noted. I use the KJV version of scripture so my Bible quotes alway get printed. KJV is in the public domain. I didn’t know about the problem with quoting.
P.S. I just love Dr. Seuss and still read ” The Cat in the Hat” from time to time. Thank you for this, I learned a few things.
