Reflections

Memories of a special person and the powerful effect of love.

27th January 2011

It was a reflective day yesterday. A tinge of sadness nestled uncomfortably amidst happy memories.

The sadness comes from our superficial sense of being, the understandable bereavement of losing physical presence.  On feeling like this there are people, situations and events that act as a sudden reminder, that there is a force, a warm subtle energy that has left a ray of that bright sunshine within all of us.

It is this ray of sunshine that continues to glow.  Yesterday reminded me to be thankful of the power of memories.  These memories act as a buffer to all of the mundane realities of the “real” world.  These nostalgic moments propel you back to the days and moments when you experienced so overwhelmingly, the absolute nothingness about the real world in which we are immersed to the point of drowning.

As the pure love continues to permeate the hearts and minds of those who experienced it first hand.  This abundance of sheer untainted, unconditional  love lives on in it’s most intense yet subtle form.

That indescribable feeling can return! When it does you are reminded just how powerful that love is.  It is the only love that has shown itself to grow stronger despite the passing of human form from where this love emanates.

If we are unable to experience this love, we are seeking in the wrong places.
