Reading and Commenting Our Articles Offers More Than Money and Earnings

Reading and commenting on other writer’s articles is a good way to ensure that other people will read your work, which leads to higher views for both ends of us writers.  And, as we all know, the more views we all receive, the more royalties we earn.  Although what I mention above plays a big roll in the online writing world, there needs to be something that all writers need to remember when it comes to reading and commenting on each others work; it simply is a way to gain so much knowledge from each other.  When we actually take the time to read each other’s work, we find that the amount of information that each of us writer’s has to offer is infinite.

Taking the time to read and comment on each other’s work is so much more than just giving and receiving views; it really is an education in itself.  From the people in the writing communities, I have learned so much about various subjects.  I think my favorite subject to learn about is health.  The writers who take time to write articles about health awareness and health improvement are amazing.  I have learned so much from them, more so than I did in my health class in college.  It is taking the time to read the work of these writers that has allowed me to learn so much about what types of foods and drinks do for and what they do to the body, mind, and spirit.  I have also learned from these writers what certain types of exercises do for us human beings.  So, really taking the time to read, comment, and receive the favor in return is beneficial, but not as beneficial as taking the time to read and learn from us fellow writers. 

Another beneficial aspect of taking the time to read and comment on each other’s work is the idea of networking.  There are so many people on these sites that have a lot to give to the world.  I have met doctors, lawyers, fellow professors, some amazing adults, and honor students, etc.  My point to this aspect when it comes to the notion of networking is that these writers actually have a lot of advice.  For example, the lawyers who write on these sites have so much legal advice to offer.  In fact, a very close friend of mine was going through a divorce, and she was unaware of many legal issues in this matter. However, I have been reading and commenting on one lawyer/writer’s work for quite sometime, and he always returns the favor.  Well, when it came time to send him a private message, which contained a question regarding my friend’s situation, he responded with all the information that my friend needed to know. And guess what, my friend won the case.  If it was not for the network of this online writer friend, then chances are my personal friend would not have ended up so lucky.  To this writer (you know who you are), I thank you endlessly and my friend thanks you.

So you see, when we read and comment on each other’s work, it may help with views and earnings, sure, but it is so much more than that.  When we read each other’s work, it is an opportunity to become self-educated in a variety of different fields.  Heck, I have even taken up a few different hobbies because of the inspiring ideas that many of you offer.  So, be sure to read and take the time to read what each other has to truly offer, which is not only views and earnings.  The real earnings are the knowledge that we gain from each other.
