Readers Out of The Woodwork-Better Titled,Unexpected Guests

Letter to the readers.

I have been watching my readership take off quite rapidly. That’s not a bad thing of course I am grateful, I’m just somewhat surprised. I know I am not the paragon of literary prowess, I even have a habit of runun sentences. I want to thank my new found readership and past readers as well for their interest.

I want to welcome my newest readers to my pages and welcome you all to post links to your work. I would also love emails as well if you all feel up to it. I like interacting with readers, I don’t want to be some distant entity that my readers feel disconnected from.

I know that without readers, no writer would have success.

It was my friends in H.S. that encouraged me to pursue writing, I dreamed of being a writer from early on.

Post your links in the comment section below, I’ll do my best to check them out.

I’m relatively new on Triond. I don’t remember which one of your article post I came across first, but I found it after reading in the forums. It was a kinda like fresh air after reading some of the juvenile forum post by people who can’t seem to write without using some of the most vile profanity I’ve ever seen. Sometimes, it feels like you need a bath after being in there.

Anyway, I don’t agree 100% with everything you write, but it is enjoyable.

I have a question for you though. I’m kinda puzzled as to why you refer to your new readers as being “out of the woodwork” in the title of this article post. Why use that term? It brings to mind the analogy of bugs or pest coming out of the woodwork. It can be perceived as an insult to your readers. Maybe, I was wrong in becoming a new reader.

For clarification, I just meant these new readers appeared unexpectedly, out of the woodwork COULD be offensive, but in no way did I MEAN it offensively. I even said in my article I was simply surprised by them as I know I am not the paragon of literary prowess. So please forgive the confusion.
