Pro’s and Con’s of Article Spinning

Article spinning: the act of rewriting articles either automatically (with a program) or manually.

There are many different article spinning programs available on-line. Many of them are free or included in the membership fees for various writing and publishing sites.

Authors opinions of article spinning in general are just as widely varied. Some authors feel article spinning is simply copying another persons work. Others think article spinning is alright as long as the article is significantly rewritten.

Before you consider article spinning consider the pro’s and con’s of the process:

Pro’s of article spinning:

• easy
• no research required
• fast
• no original writing required

Con’s of article spinning:

• not truly original
• often incoherent
• adds to the garbage already on the Internet
• frustrates readers
• can possibly lead to a lose followers
• usually provides no new, useful information

Article spinners are not as good at their job as some people are led to believe. Often the program simply switches keywords with synonyms and possible reorders paragraphs. The results can be horrific.

If you do choose to use an article spinner I would suggest you read the resulting article over very carefully before publishing it anywhere. You may even find that it takes more time to correct a spun article than it would have taken to write a new, original article.

What ever you choose, choose wisely. Your writing is something to be proud of. Strive to do the best job possible.
