Personal November Writing Challenges

As an aspiring online writer the biggest challenge is satisfying the need to write. We face challenges like writer’s block, SEO, knowing what’s trending and a constant flow of interesting topics. To further challenge our writing skills, we can come up with specific criteria to meet.

I have come up with a few personal writing challenges to keep my creative juices flowing and get closer to my goal of establishing myself as an online writer.  I have created specific criteria for me to meet for the month of November; some on a day to day basis and some are for the entire month.

For the month of November, I am challenging my Triond writing.  I endeavor to write at least one article a day.  In a perfect world, I would write three a day.  But, I’ll be happy with one for now.  However, for the entire month, I want to write no less than 35 articles.  This will bring my portfolio up to 300 articles.  In October I wrote 32 articles.  I would like to acquire over 2058 views, because that is the amount needed to achieve my 20,000 view badge.

I am challenging myself to bring my Expertscolumn portfolio up to no less than 100 articles.  I have, woefully, neglected this account.  I really enjoy writing there and am looking forward to seeing the site succeed and want to establish a long term relationship with Expertscolumn.

I am going to put the finishing touches on my ebook and bring it to completion.  I put it on the back burner for way too long because I had more pressing matters to attend to.  But, I am determined to make this ebook a priority and get it published ASAP.

I will, also, challenge myself to write no less than 2000 words a day, not including my article writing.  I started writing my first novel today.  I plan to write each day until it is completed.  So far the characters are developing nicely and they are constantly dancing around in my head.  I can’t wait to see what happens to these people.

The final writing challenge is not really writing, but, figuring out how to attract consistent readership.  I plan to join more bookmarking sites, more social networking sites and find innovative ways to share my articles, thus, increasing my views.  The process I currently follow is: pinging, bookmarking, and sharing on social sites.  I, also, try to write using the best keywords.  November is going to be a true writing challenge.
