Improve your writing

Penny for Your Thoughts?

It’s possible to make money writing on the internet- but where to begin?!

I find myself with a dilemma. After a (less than productive) day of searching for a job I found a way of making money from the Internet. The Holy Grail! A way of earning by doing something I enjoy without even having to leave home! Too good to be true? Perhaps. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a bum, just a writer.

I signed up with Triond, a writing website. I read and re-read the details of the system and was convinced. I’m not expecting to make a fortune. Truth be told, I would be happy to earn enough for bus fare to the job centre. I’m mostly intrigued about how I can get a few quid from, what would appear to be, nowhere.

So the account is set up. The enthusiasm is bubbling. The creativity is itching- but I don’t know where to begin. I look at other articles out there. Some are about travel destinations, others are about television, and quite a few are about making money from the Internet. At least I’m not in this on my own. There is a universe of editorials out there and I want to get involved.

I open up the screen to write and start to type. I write the first line. Consequently I delete the first line and try something else. Not happy with that, I erase the second attempt.  Do I start funny? Do I start with an air of intelligence? Do I start with a point? I have no idea, so I just write.

If you are reading this, the chances are you are in a similar situation to me. In a world where everything has been done before what can one do that is original and worth people taking time to read? There is no answer to that. If it was that obvious, surely the world and his wife would be doing it. It is down to the individual. If you start to write, keep on writing. It could result in a page of waffle (see above) or you may well create a piece of advice or entertainment, a work to be proud of.

And so here it is, my first article. It did not take too long to write and I don’t know if it will be read by many people but it is done. I have made my first step into the world of on-line business. Thank you for sticking with it and if you have taken something from this, then it has been worthwhile. Best of luck.
