Online Writing : are You Getting Frustrated?

Over Competition

Online writing as a career is very lucrative but the road to success  is tough as there is immense competition among content writers and freelance writers . If you are writing in sites like triond and bukisa then there are atleast hundred of people who are writing about the same topic that you are publishing this leds to a decline in revenues . If you are selling your articles in sites like constant-content then you articles faces stiff competition from other writers and they may even lower the price of their articles and this may hurt your sales . Then there are freelance sites like elance and guru where writers bid for projects and for freelance writers it will be for article  writing projects but there is so neck to neck competition that you have to lower a price upto a certain level which you may not be happy about . Thus writing online as a job or career is tough and requires a lot of patience and determination to succeed.

Expecting Too Much

Expecting too much can be complimented with unrealistic goals . You need to be clear that reaching or earning $ 100 a month only through  writing is tough especially when you are writing in UGC {user content generated} sites . If you start of with a high expectation but unfortunately  get a result you never imagined then it may take away all your interest from writing . So when you are just starting out it’s better to concentrate on writing more and more articles . If you right good articles you need not need to run after money it will run after you . So write more .

No Deadline or Goal

If you are writing solely for fun then you need not need to have any goals but if you are a serious writers who wants to earn a full time incomes just from writing then setting few realistic goals may be helpful . Setting up goals will help you stay focused and keep your progress in check . When i started in bukisa i set a goal of writing 30 articles in 30 days and this was quite possible and i achieved it . Though i achieved in writing 30 articles in less than 30 days so that was a huge bonus and this joy of achieving a goal help me to re-energise and set new goals and this is fun . So setting goals can help you from prevent yourself from going of track .

So , I think you just need to stay focus and calm . Though you are here to earn money but don’t get desperate as it will led to frustration and disappointment .
